I used to think evolution was compatible with islam, but then I read the verse which compares adam and isa, and it became quite clear adam had no parents

147852369 we don't know a lot of the creation of adam, but I believe (which can be changed if someone gives a better explanation) that adam was created from the earth somehow, and then either roamed in a garden on earth and then expelled from it when he went near the tree

147852369 I wondered about that too. my be Adams parents didn't really count as "parents" because of how dissimilar. but then i read 3:59 and the background behind it. it was basically said as a counter to the christians saying that if jesus is god because he had no father, then adam is even better because he had no father and mother, and it was meant in the physical sense. but if someone knocked this argument down, nothing would stop me from believing in evolution

147852369 I think regarding your stance on the quran verse is understandable and I will probably think about it a bit more before I reach a conclusion, but your comment on how everything is branded by one creator I have no problem with, because allah even says he created everything from water. I've just got one 'problem' with what u said at the end. i believe Allah isn't made up of anything. Allah is allah, nothing inside him, he is just... Allah.

good point, Farhan. Didn't think of it this way. Love it when people think

The verse does not say that Adam and Isa had no parents. The verses actually say. Both are created from dust. Interestingly, Quran also says that whole mankind is created from dust. Quran says.. Whenever God wants something to occur, He just says "be" and its is... That should not be taken literally because, atleast in case of Isa, we know that he was created and then came out of his mother's womb... He was not created out from thin air.
