I watch a lot of Elaine Ingham, so I'm pretty familiar with microbiology and plants. But you put quite a few extra connections together for me. Very informative, and very inspiring. Thank you both.

The biodiverse living cover (orchard floor) works for us to produce an abundance of disease free high quality organic rare tropical fruit in Florida. Thanks for your work and this detailed explanation in what is another excellent lecture.

Great webinar, so much useful information, even for someone who already have a good grasp on the subject. Also very good Q&A session. Will be listening to this one again & recommend it to others

After watching this for about an hour, I think the take away is that diversity is good for my soil. I am not sure though, how I figure out what flowers and vegetables get along well together. I know some combinations do much better than others just from the root diagram that was shown, but still have no idea what roots like what, and what gobbles the nutrients that another needs, etc.

There are excellent resources for “companion planting” as one way to search for this info. Also going to some of the cover crop selection tools like Northeast Cover Crop Council & Midwest Cover Crop Council & Green Cover Seed to study the characteristics of those plants & probably search for pollinators as cover crops. Lots to study but don’t get hung up on being perfect to block you from doing the good. How you plant & ways you could manage potential competition problems is important to plan ahead also.

Thanks very much for the great presentation. Do you have any experience with multiple species green crops in a tropical climate. I'm watching this from Fiji. Simon

I've been pulling out my hair trying to find the proper, scientifically tested, dilution levels for a Vermicompost Biostimulant Solution.

When you talk about using milk as a stimulant, you talking about raw milk not pasteurized correct, would fortifying it with a natural sugar like a tree sap or waste honey that is not processed be of any value?

Milk will be an expensive alternative , Pla guide if we can add water to milk and to what ratio, i.e milk and water so that we get the desireg result at the same time it is cost effective. THANKS

Please have milk analyzed for all nutrients for better approach to application & dilution rates. It will mainly be a biostimulant & may be best if you combine w a reputable EM microbial formula.

What about applying foliar spray consisting of natural (no antibiotics, etc) chicken litter to young cool season seedlings after the first frost that ends the growing season for bermuda grass? Would this adversely affect the plant community? We utilize planned grazing/holistic resource management. We are trying to kick start pastures to boost carbon sequestration. The pastures have received no line or chemical fertilizers for 35 years.

I’d be very careful w a foliar from uncomposted chix manure. Have the foliar product tested for all plant nutrients, pH, EC, salt index for better decision-making. I’d suggest foliar of amino acids N from protein hydrolysate w Ca, K & micronutrients & a well-made EM product of microbes. I know some reputable product lines for these, but don’t want to suggest unless asked. I am in VT working w a couple excellent EM microbials and the other products as CCA agronomist.
