Aoa respected sir... As u said,Macromolecules are larger and water molecule is smaller thus they are insoluble in water..but protein,carbohydrates and nucleic acids can be soluble in water as they have polar nature...Also hydrophilIc(head) portion of membranes faced cytoplasm(Water)...then how being macromolecules(Carbs,proteins,N.A) they are water soluble..and why cell membrane besides its head(hydrophilic) is towards cytoplasm is not dissolved in it???
