I've embodied the living Labyrinth motif to the point where the line between symbolism and reality are not entirely known. I've added the Hero's journey element to it. Similar to the Legend of Theseus and the Minotaur. I believe the element of danger and adventure is necessary. The Labyrinth within is the same as the Labyrinth of life itself. Combining these archetypes together I believe is the most powerful form of the Labyrinth. At the same time. That danger and risk of being forever lost, or slain by the dragon/beast within does not detract one iota from the beauty that the Labyrinth represents as well. This video is a hidden gem who's value I don't underestimate. I felt moved to tears. I felt awe. I felt inspiration. I felt a thought of why can't I build a monument too! To some they might simply call that.....enjoying the video. End of story. I've come to realize that those feelings and the place they connect you with deserve so much more consideration than that. Thank you so much and if I decide to make my very own Labyrinth. I would love to share it with you.

Thank you for this. I'm in the process of building a meditation garden at home. I've been thinking about adding a labarynth, but had no idea where to even start or how to do it. This was very helpful and I can't wait to start!

Such a great story of following the magical thread. I read Walking a Sacred Path the year the book was published and walked her floor banner labyrinth at International Transpersonal Association Conference. A friend wanted to do a full moon group walk and invited me to drum and sing while people walked it. Two weeks later a woman organizing a peace conference invited me to offer a labyrinth walking workshop with the frame drum. 2021 I visited a potential property to live on. It had a labyrinth and walked to the center, attuned to the land and the labyrinth said, "You are going to walk this everyday" in my mind I said, I don't have time to do that and hey I didn't say I was moving here I need 3 signs. I did move there and walked it everyday from March - Aug. then weekly, then when needed and have walked it almost 200 times. Much healing happened. A release song came through too. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nXm8mXqcjbSdp5Y .:.

Thank you for this, a beautiful perspective on labyrinths and your journey through them. I've been a bit obsessed with labyrinths ever since living on a community where a fellow dweller created an 11 circuit Chartres labyrinth, and I used it quite a lot during the birthing of the three babies I birthed on that place. I've gone on to create potentially the worlds only handspun and crocheted, three dimensional, three circuit labyrinth out of sheeps fleece. And I've just finished hand making a large amount of rope that perfectly creates a 7 circuit labyrinth. I'm so interested in what you have to say about them, and the course to become a facilitator........is there another one coming up soon?

Fantastic! Your 3D handspun labyrinth sounds amazing. We have a facilitator training August 8-12 on Zoom and I'll be assisting Lauren Artress in Chartres this September. See www.veriditas.org/calendar for upcoming events

@@DiscoverLabyrinths I would so love to do that training with you, but I noticed that I had to go to a qualifying workshop first, and that could take me a while to organise.....
@LarsHowlett2 жыл бұрын
@@hellenapost1869 Yes, the idea of the Qualifying Workshop is to provide an experience of a facilitated group walk and workshop with a Veriditas faculty member before taking the training which is a more practical course on working with labyrinths. There is one on the Saturday before and anyone taking the training is guaranteed a spot even though it is currently sold out.

@@hellenapost1869 I was able to inquire about doing the programs in reverse with a late registration and that would be ok in this case. So you could take the facilitator training next week if you agreed to do the qualifying workshop later this year. The next one would be Oct 22-23 online. Email Lars@Veriditas.org if you'd like to go for it!

I would love to be a facilitator and/or creator of Labyrinths. How can I do this if I'm unemployed and poor?
@DiscoverLabyrinths3 жыл бұрын
Veriditas offers one full scholarship for each facilitator training for those who worked with underserved populations, so please email the office to inquire and share your intentions with them!
