The C64, Atari ST, and Amiga, were to me, the absolute golden days of home computer gaming. I would include the Sinclair ZX Spectrum in that list too. We, of a certain age, didn't realize how bloody good we had it.

Man the c64 could have done a Nintendo like clone. They didn't even try.

C64 does the Arcade version, the NES version is not even the same game.

Nice levels design, looks like great fun. But colours are washed-out, also a bit jumpy scrolling.

Yes, the two games have those differences as well. Coloring, graphics, sounds, all different really, except the story line, which is same. I find these cases quite fascinating from coding point of view. One and same story results in two very different games.
