That Pipo cutscene and death scream had me in stitches. Ironically, I just beat Doctor Hauzer last week, which was also made by Riverhill. These guys went on to become Level 5!

nice on completing Doctor Hauzer. that game looks cool but the movement speed was really hard for me to continue playing it. but they did have some neat concept ideas

First of all let me thank you, that you approached these games without mocking them, like many others would do. Overblood 1 was my very first survival-horror-game and I liked it a lot. I love the cold atmosphere of the lab and the creepy OST. Story was solid, too. I never understood the mockery of the Pipo-scene. Its only funny if you watch it without context, just like the laughing-scene from FFX. Nowadays I would agree with your average-statement. But it has huge nostalgic values for me. The same goes for Overblood 2. Objectively speaking OB2 is a pretty crappy game. Heavy slowdown, unskipable cutscenes which can run for half an hour, janky combat and other things would make it a very easy target for angry-reviewers. But the game has some extremely cool aspects, like the clothing-system, the weapon-variety, good leveldesign with lots of cool ideas and an Zelda-ish feel to it. I mean: The heat- and icepacks are one of the most awesome tools I handled in a game like this! I personally love the story very much. I know its cheesy like hell, but its incredible charming, too. And to this day OB2 has the most satisfiing ending I ever witnessed. And I highly doubt, that I will ever witness a better ending. But again, thanks for your no-bullshit approach towards videoreviews. I can't watch lame comedy-skits and angry-stuff anymore. I am too old for this shit, I appeciate every reviewer who avoids stuff like that and still brings his own charme to the table. Good content!

Lol funny you mention that but my very early videos were the ones with cringy skits but yeah I don't do them anymore since they are hard for me to watch XD even though I was not in love with these games I do love aspects of them that i can appreciate what they tried to do for both games. I always do my best to see what game offers the best values even if the experience is a mixed bag. But very interesting to hear from someone who grew up with this game. I'm like that with the first deception game lol

Over blood 1 & 2 in one video, awesome. Based on your double review, I’d say that maybe a combination of good aspects from each game would / could have make a decent game. Overly long games is something that just kills it (when forced) and I’m not sure why developers still continue to use that tactic. Oh well, thanks for reviewing them I would have never heard about these games otherwise 👍

I tried these games, they weren't that bad if you like the novelty of B movies. October is always when I revisit classic games, that vampire psx game I'm about to play tonight countdown vampires lol. Psx was a great era for consoles, everything wasn't pay to win or multi-player focused

I was putting of watching this because I hadn't beaten Overblood, but I couldn't wait and haven't gotten back to the game. Got past the part where Peepo dies 😂. I really want to finish it now. I remember those instant kill parts frustrating but unlimited saves are nice. Love Raz's voice 😂. Overblood 2 was looking really really promising. Too bad it drags so long. 😂 All of your foreigner impressions turn into Arnold.

oh cool and i understand for sure about wanting to finish a game first but i always make sure not to spoil things. i like Raz voice to it sounds decent for an early voice acting game roll and it amuses me. kinda funny how i always turn into arnold when i dont intend to lmao
