BIOPRESSURE II Pressure filter

I have the larger one. Not real happy about all you have to go through to pull the sponges out to thoroughly clean. No directions how to dissemble and reassemble. Is there a manual or some kind of instructions? The smaller units have a rotating crank to wring sponges some. My unit only runs a back wash. Does catch stuff but honestly you need to pull apart way too often to really clean. For all of those reasons I’ve pulled mine out and want to sell it CHEAP. Caution, when they tell you how many gallons it will filter divide that by 2 to get accurate volume it can actually filter. Do like the video though 🤙🏻

Does the pump come with the filter or do you gotta buy the hose amd the pump part seperate?

Hose and pump separate and it also comes with no tubing

How to get the top on and the band fastened? I am worn out trying.

I lost the flat washers for the hoses. Do you have a part number or washer size?

I followed each instruction but nothing happens. Should.t I hear the motor run? I did not open the light compartment Help, I just returned a pump with a similar issue.

This filter relies on an external pump to push the water throught it. Maybe return your pump.

For those with the same issue: This is a filter, not a pump. The electrical connection runs only the UV light inside. (And it should NEVER be plugged in until water is going through the filter.) If no water is coming through this filter, check which direction the upper knob is turned. Also, make sure your "input" (water from your pump) is connected to the outlet with the arrows pointing toward the filter. Otherwise, it will not work.

Unscrew the handle first, next the light housing underneath the handle, then the light pulls out

Mine leaked because I forgot to put the large rubber ring back between the bucket and the lid

Mine is a PITA to get the big O-ring positioned just perfectly or it will leak terribly. Quite frankly I hate it for that reason alone.
