Bioshock 2 - Platinum Journey

Finally rounded out this magnificent trilogy. A few notes: 1. Longtime viewers will recognise the return of the old backdrop and set. I'm back in Ireland visiting family and friends. Will get at least one more episode filmed before I have to leave. Hopefully, make this a yearly tradition. 2. Damn, I've been indulging in far too much Guinness. Playing the game was filmed just before Christmas and presenting bits were filmed a few days ago. Becoming a real big boy. 3. The next episode? Using the opportunity being home to dig my old chunky PS3 out of storage and play a classic - Dead Space. Expect the video in the next month. That's all. I just loved dead space 2 a little bit more, it is harder scarier over all and faster which I like. I understand dead space 1 will always be the better horror game but personally I like dead space 2 more

Such an underrated channel! I have watched a lot of your videos, high quality content for sure! I have watched this video on repeat the last days since I have also chased down the plat for BioShock 2, and today I got it! I think the worst trophy to get was the research.. I did my last playthrough on easy, and Im not kidding when I say that I used the camera in every fight, such a boring trophy, but when I got to research that final brute splicer in inner persephone! damn, what a feeling! I agree. Great narrative. I too wish I could emerge in Rapture for the first time again. While replaying it these days I try to notice the small details in the levels I might have missed - a certain poster, placement of items, how the audio logs tell a story of that specific part of Rapture.

As a heads up for the research trophy Thuggish Splicers don't show up past Pauper's Drop and Spider Splicers stop appearing past Dionysus Park and just research the Big Sisters when they show up, save before you have to fight them just in case. Sure two show up when you're trying to reach Eleanor but still.

For anyone struggling with Research master trophy. U can still get it if u load an earlier save & research that particular enemy completely again. I just got it after I completed the game but was still missing Thuggish splicer research. So I loaded Paupers drop save & researched them completely & I got the trophy.

I'm glad this game is free on ps plus I looked at the other Bioshock platinum journeys and I will have to make multiple playthroughs due to the hardest difficulty, without healing, and no deaths. Should be able to get those trophies, but when I saw the Modern Warfare platinum journey and Dead Space 2 Platinum Journey, Veteran mode gave me trouble in Heat and Mile High Club and Dead Space 2s limited saves will make me want to throw my controller at the screen cant wait for you to do Dead Space 1, I heard 3 was bad

@@n7link568 Really great being able to get all the Bioshocks free on PS Plus. Best of luck! Yeah, I wouldn't recommend Dead Space 2 Hard Core unless you are willing to suffer. Dead Space 1 episode is coming along great. Aiming to have it out at the end of this month. Dead Space 3 is indeed bad. I tried playing it a couple of times and it is so far removed from what made Dead Space great, I couldn't get past the first couple of hours.

You are not alone with this being your favourite in the trilogy. Pokemon will at most be a once a year thing. I haven't started Gold yet. Hoping to start next month and tip away on it in the background and release in September. Gonna be another long one. The next platinum is Dead Space. It always bothered me why not killing Gil was the morally “right” choice.. so you’re saying that forcing him to exist in that form with no hope of improvement is the... good thing to do?

Yeah, that never sat right with me either. I always kill him, seems like the right thing to do.

The choice is more complicated than that. Who are you going to listen to? Someone alive right in front of you or a ghost of the past? Gil is gone. He's dead. There's only Alex the Great now. Just look at the statues of when you spare or kill Alex. When you kill him, it just shows Delta killing a monster. When you spare him, it shows Delta pulling Gil away from the monster. It's symbolism that shows Delta separating the two. They aren't the same person. The moral choice here is way more complicated and perhaps the most complicated choice I've ever seen in a game.

I remember on ps3 you had to do multiplayer trophies, they took me more time than the campaign to get it, and the multiplayer wasn't so bad it was kinda enjoyable after you get the hang of it.

Hey Adam! I just finished my first playthru a few minutes ago. Got all the missable trophies so I can focus on hard mode. I'm streaming it, too. I call in Platinum Pursuit. I basically stole your idea. Wish me luck on Hard Mode! I start it tomorrow!
