But in that same DLC you can spot someone trying to make his disgust known with a pimp, who's practices he condemns but the pimp basically responds with: "Down here I can pimp out women if there is a market for it." Just because they are all in rapture does not mean that every single citizen came down there with the naive belief in Ryan's utopian dream. Everyone who is wondering about the brute. I was on the wiki looking up random facts about the game and a producer confirmed that the homophobic remarks are apparently because he was "closeted" before everything went to shit. So since I never played B2 I hadn't any idea what they were talking about. Although in retrospect their was a gay couple in Bioshock Infinite Burial at sea holding hands looking out to the sea so I don't know how that makes sense.
@Jman9285410 жыл бұрын
Well if you know Bioshock Infinite's ending, playing off the multiple universe's theory, it's possible that in Burial At Sea, you're in a universe where homosexuality is more accepted than it was in the ACTUAL 1960's, hence why the Brute is saying what he is. But another explanation could be that Brute (whatever his real name is) was closeted on the surface, and when he got into Rapture, after denying it so much, it becomes common practice, and is slowly coming out of the closet with some of the comments he makes (which is when you use the Hypnotize plasmid on splicers, they'll compliment you).
@Logan-yp9zc10 жыл бұрын
I never thought about the whole alternate universe thing might effect that kind of thing. I wonder what other types of things could be changed because of the time hole things.

Owen Ent Well good for you and your friends. We're not saying EVERYONE who makes gay jokes/remarks are in the closet, we're talking about the attitude back in the 1960s, where hating homosexuals was at it's worst.
