damn i wish i got to yell at women for my job
@jeremyjones59510 жыл бұрын
This is one method, which, while I respect, I don't necessarily approve of. I mean, it's make things super awkward between everyone involved. Honestly, if you need this sort of treatment before you're able to bring out any emotion, then I'd argue, as a fan of voice acting, and an avid gamer, that maybe this business isn't for you. Even as a crutch, this is just... too easy. Anyone can get emotional when people are yelling at them. It's easy. It's not a talent, or a skill, and, frankly, it shouldn't be treated like one. However, getting emotional for no discernible reason other than to entertain, is a far more difficult performance to produce.
@TheTheValer8 жыл бұрын
Have you ever personally done any acting work? Specifically voice acting, where it can be much harder to produce an emotion? This represents an approach of getting the right performance, and in the end the performance is all that matters. People who can ACTUALLY feign emotion out of nowhere are incredibly rare, and most (any that I can think of) of the greatest actors need to get into the right space to produce that emotion, not just on their face but in their voice. Cooperating doesnt mean she's a bad actress, it's just one way of getting the job done.
@holdmeclosertonydanza226 жыл бұрын
I couldn't disagree more. Sometimes, you need a particular emotion, and the best way to get that is to draw on it. She's not crying because Troy is yelling at her, she's crying because she's taking all of the anger ever presented to her in her entire life, and Troy is just the vehicle for that emotion. Sure, you can walk to the train station, but it's quicker to take a cab.

Jeremy Jones You ever acted before? This helps a lot, and the cast are friends, if anything it’s hard for them to take each other seriously
@kilroy9875 жыл бұрын
The actors are smart enough to know what's real and what works for them to bring out a performance. Sure, there are grossly sick people out there who get off on screwing with each others' heads, but this isn't that. Nor is it a director that torments his performers to get a good take.
