Best voice acting I’ve ever heard, Jeremiah Fink is priceless.
@Max160328 жыл бұрын
Fink kinda follows the path Ryan did, but much worse. Ryan believed that anyone has the right to enjoy the fruits of labor as long as one works hard for it. In his world, beggars and the unemployed are "parasites" that refuse to work to leech from others. Fink, on the other hand, states that there's not even a choice: You WILL work for him, because "it's your future". He WILL make you work all day, "because pleasure corrupts", and he'll pay you mere crumbs "because money must not be your final goal". So for Ryan, there was "Man" and "Parasite". For Fink, there was "Cattle" and "Hyenas". In Rapture, this means "choice". In Columbia, this means "nature"
@xierus7 жыл бұрын
Yup. You can tell the folks at Irrational wanted to scream "social darwinism" in everyway but with the actual words.
@hankreardenfan10195 жыл бұрын
I agree. Don't forget, Fink also stole from Rapture. I can see Andrew inventing something, and then Fink steals the invention. "Stupid Invisible Parasites" , Ryan then shouts angrily.
@jeremyrossi27163 жыл бұрын
Another comparison is that Ryan wasn’t opposed to worker’s rights. He saw that if workers were unhappy with their conditions they could create private unions that appear and disappear when what they want is secured or those demanding change could start a business of their own and out compete their former boss by swaying the public against their former boss. The only reason Ryan was against private unions is that they can be corrupted by the government, they could give the government too much power and they make work drastically less efficient. FINK on the other hand not only doesn’t give the workers the freedom to privately unite against him through private unions/charities (like those done by Atlas/Fontaine) or establishing new business, he actively censors and attacks any attempt to do so. Furthermore, Fink forcing his workers to buy only from him goes against Ryan’s principles of freedom of choice of where you spend your money. Ryan is not a monster who wishes to rule over you through money, he wants to be able to make us own living and for you to make yours. Fink is a tyrant who demands you buy from him and only him.

+Lord Obito Even more ironic is the fact that Fitzroi dies less than ten minutes after killing fink. Kind of like the game's trying to say using extremism and violence to accomplish social change is a bad idea no matter how just the cause. Some might say its hypocritical for the game to say this because its so violent. But answer this question who was Booker Dewitt able to save be going into columbia and shooting everyone up? certainly not the people of columbia and not even elizabeth nor himself.

Would've loved to have seen the timeline where Fink killed Comstock, & turned the entirety of Columbia into one industrial factory. No one would be spared from Fink's grasp, for each & every Columbian must do their share, all working & maintaining the machines, every hour of the day. Handymen at every corner, vigors being shipped to the world below on parachutes, as mankind destroys itself for the gifts from the heavens above... It'd be like Metropolis. My god, it would've been beautiful... Too bad that's a timeline that'll never be... Then again, Being The Bee means to Be Vigilaint & Hopeful. So, Be The Bee! Be! The Bee!

Fink really misunderstands his bible. Before I converted to Christianity, the joke flew right over my head. Now, it's a billion times funnier. The point of that story was that the enslavement of the Israelites was WRONG and that they deserved to be free.
