Welcome again to another Biostats video! You've probably heard the words "Prevalence, Incidence, Precision, and Accuracy" while taking a statistics course, but what exactly do they mean? In this video, we'll be talking about them in detail to help give you a clear picture.

📝 Content:
00:15 Prevalence and Incidence
08:29 Precision and Accuracy
📝 Notes/Errata:
1) 1:24 The way I'm using the numbers in this example is just to highlight how the formula is used. One thing I forgot to mention is that the denominator in "incidence" is not the same as the denominator in Prevalence. Here, I was using 100 for both just as an example, but always remember to subtract the people who ALREADY HAVE THE DISEASE in the denominator of the formula for incidence since they no longer at risk of developing the disease if they already did develop it.
2) Case Fatality Rate isn't Mortality/Prevalence; it's mortality/cases which is technically different. However, I go into more detail in another video about this and was using the term prevalence very loosely to get the idea across and link concepts together. I apologize if it threw you off for a bit.

🙋🏻‍♂️ Who am I?
I'm Khaled, a final-year medical student, and I make videos on quite a few different topics within the scope of medicine such as reacting and breaking down medical shows, studying for exams, discussing important health issues, etc... I hope that my videos help you in any way, shape, or form and that you enjoy them regardless of your background.
Medicine is quite the challenging topic, but I don't see why we can't enjoy it together!
