I saw this post on reddit, I have tried various resources for Biostats but nothing seems to work out, it is the only hurdle that's left to cross in my prep. I hope that this is where I'll find my peace with this topic, keep up the good work. Thank you for taking the time to explain these difficult topics.

Will this help to imgs giving usmle ? Anyone can tell question distribution of questions of each topic in usmle ? Like how many questions come from this biostatistics part
@Khalemedic9 ай бұрын
Biostatistics is tested in step 1, step 2 CK, and step 3. The distribution of questions can be found on the official USMLE page. You just have to go searching for them a little.

Not prevalence! incidence! (in RR part)

Great catch! I was trying to simplify the concept by just using "prevalence" in the video. Since cohorts can measure incidence but case control cannot, it would've created a lot of confusion if I chose to dig into those details as well. The entire point was just that proportions tend to have meaning while ratios do not and this intertwines with the whole idea that with cohorts, we allow patients to develop the disease at a rate the matches the "normal" real-life rate, while in case controls, we hand pick those with or without the disease thus most likely not matching the "normal" real-life rate.

Love the videos :) I have STEP in 10 days and this has been a wonderful review. Quick question - is the 10th video in your series listed privately on purpose?
@Khalemedic4 жыл бұрын
Garrett Clement Hey Garret, I’m delighted to hear you found the videos beneficial, and I wish you the best of luck on your STEP exam! Yes, there are only two videos left to the series; one of which will come out today in 3 hours from this comment, the other will come out in a week, so I’ve left you its unlisted link here to view it early: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hImnpn2QmdNsq6M
