+Leonid Sokolov - I watched some videos of ME:A and it does seem to be an awful amount of dark skinned people. Maybe they are trying to say that people in the future are blended with several races but I don't like that. I like it when there are only a few colored individuals but they are given important roles like Jacob and Captain Anderson. I watched some more and the female characters really are plain ugly. I thought it was just the main character that was ugly. I don't understand how you go from Liara and Miranda to the garbage in ME:A. At least Sera in DA:I had a nice body to make up for her face.

I think you are accurately describing the first signs of the failure that Bioware baked into Andromeda. You and I discussed the danger signs a long time ago re: loss of key personnel. The animation problems are just the start... the writing is weak (as you and Smudboy explored) and that is with the playtime limitations for everyone. Imagine what inconsistencies and face-palms await us as we get further along. I'm getting a bad feeling about this one.

I think what we are seeing here is normal tend among companies in terms that poorly qualified get jobs that don't deserve and/or when the upper management keeps pushing unrealistic deadlines that ultimately hurts the end the result; that's what I've seen working with Fortune 500 companies in the last ten years. I agree,stop giving Mass effect:Andromeda attention just because it has the name "mass effect" on it. There are a lot of other games who are very good and has been made with passion.They're not perfect but at least you can safely say these games has been made for the pleasure ,to allow the player to live an adventure. Mass effect seems to be getting attention only because of its name despite the blatant mistakes in it. That's sad.

Most players want to play as attractive characters in RPGs. It's an unspoken rule and one that you do not break. If Bioware's motivation for doing this was political, then they are going to fail at getting their message across. Players will simply be angry they have to stare and ugly looking characters for their playthrough.

There's a "bug" as they declared it that means people cant be pale or white. A lot of people are speculating this is because of an openly racist developer who was recently fired because all he does is talk about how awful white people are, which caused a lot of people to take civil action and complain to the company.

It was especially weird when I made the ryder twins with blond hair and pale skin, and it didn't change how the father or mother looked. The parents were dark skinned and had black hair. Also the default female preset and asari companion both look like a children with their pudgy faces.

The facial animations problem will not be fixed anytime soon, that is lack of polish in the animations and it takes time. As for the uglyness of the females, that will stay because that means redoing the character altogether

There is very few options to make a white character. You can not edit the default riders You can not edit bone structure too much Many of the female presets are intentionally designed badly. There are workable options, however it is nothing like previous games options. An it is a terrible fact that Saints Row IV beats this game by miles on the CC front. Mechanically though the game is vastly improved and has very great new mechanics. The new personality choices is a far welcomed improvement. Outside of some glitches that need addressing. UI bugs and progression glitches.

Yes, Andromeda is clearly not finished product. It could use another 6 months to fix the sometimes immersion breaking facial animations a textures on human faces. What cant be improved by patches is average writing. I know there are really good writers on Andromeda, that previously worked at ME trilogy and SWTOR, but hire a guy who worked on HALO 4 as a lead writer for Andromeda is bad development decision hurts quality of writing in this game. What is great is combat, i freaking love combat system, cover system and multiplayer in this game. I am hoping they will extend this mod by adding new maps, characters, combos, weapons, objectives etc. It has issues mostly due to P2P connection aside of that no problems at all

Why are gamers not entitled to beauty? Can you imagine they use people like this for beauty brand cosmetics? These products are almost exclusively sold to women. They have beautiful woman pitching beauty care products to women in Macy's. Walk into any clothing store, and there are photos of beautiful and handsome models everywhere. I think it's incredibly hypocritical to push the SJW agenda upon gamers when the rest of the industry uses beauty to sell everything including entertainment. Is it because studios know if they dangle a shiny thing in front of us we'll be more inclined to buy it even if it doesn't measure up to our usual standards? The fact that they push this game out believing it would be a big hit tells me more about the gaming community than big publishers. I'm just relieved MEA blew up in their face and set their agenda back significantly. Had it been a raving success you can bet future games would've had the same agendas, but by then it would have been too late to reverse course. That's my two cents. :)

Let's face it, this was no mistake. The lead designer (Manveer Heir) was an open racist piece of shit. He tweets out pictures of himself drinking from coffee mugs that have "white tears" written on it, quotes "White people, I am not here to make you feel comfortable or okay with yourself or the white supremacy you benefit from". Mass Effect Andromeda’s lead animator (Allie Rose-Marie Leost) is a woman hired due to her celebrity status as a cosplayer. This was a result of quota hires, "diversity", and milking the hard work of the men that created a beloved franchise. You might wanna look up some stuff about this and think about what you said again. Instead of looking for people that are good at their jobs they just looked for diversity and took people in that haven't coded in 5+ years and never did this or that. They had some hardcore feminist as lead writer/s for this game and one Indian guy that hated white people and was racist and all of them made it public that they worked for Bioware and did they care? no. I don't rly care about skin color but still, pretty much all character presets are black and it's super difficult to get a white skin color. They had years for this game and the facial animations are freaking horrible sometimes and it has so many bugs, played the early version on Origin for 5 hours and i had buggy a.i. / ships flying through objects / audio bugs / game crashes and so on. And then the female characters, it's clear that Bioware got heavily influenced by all the feminism drama in the last years, look at the female characters in Dragon age 2 and look at the female chars/writing in Dragon age Inquisition. And why did they change the default female face to be uglier after the day one patch? compare the male model and the default male character, they look pretty much the same and compare the female model and the female default character, completely different faces. I don't even know why they paid the model to use her face ingame cause it's not her face at all. Look at what some of the Bioware staff made and wrote in the last months and if you still say that it's because they are amateurs and not because political/racial whatever things then idk. Sure, not all people that work there are racists or feminists but you can't deny that they have heavily influenced how the characters look and how the game turned out.

Wrong, man. They aren't heavily influenced at all. Manveer only worked on a few things for a short while and it wasn't the characters. And as for the feminist one. I dont know because there are so many reports out there and Bioware have denied some regarding that specifically. I blame shit game design and amateur programming. Which also explains this horrendous release. I refuse to believe that they dumbed down this in favour of ugly and diversity. Because the male character doens't have any issues as such.
