Why would you need a parachute? Do you get one when you fly with an airline? Do you take a doctor with you when you go hiking? Do you ware a suit of armour when you drive? The Baby Lakes bi plane is built stronger than a Pitts S1. Look after your plane and it will look after you.

@ThundaDownUnder I'm looking for something to do aerobatics in that won't break the bank. (FAA makes us wear chutes for that) Are they a hard to handle on the ground? Thanks

How is the acro on those? Is there room in the cockpit for a chute?

No, hardly enough room for a pilot, but you don't get thrown about in the seat either, it's tight.

Depends on your experience, l flew this with 20 hours on tail draggers. The Baby Lakes is easier than a Pitts S1 to fly. And better forward visibility, as an aerobatic biplane its far better than a Pitts Special, cheap to own and maintain. More fun and stronger built. I'm 74, but a kid with enough training and flight time could fly it at 15.
