Reminds me of the early years of the EAA at Rockford Illinois! These types of gatherings are so much nicer than the way over priced Oshkosh! The AAA has a great gathering every Labor Day!

LOVED IT! Switching to B & W for the out-go was choice!!!! My only minor complaint is, Bill - you need to talk louder when narrating. Several times it was difficult to hear what you were saying. Other than that, it was a fantastic film/clip of a great adventure! Keep 'em coming!

Really enjoyed your trip back to Texas as well as the trip up! Nicely done. One question. It seemed the pilot didn't give the old W670 much time for warm up after start, especially that first start in the mornings. Less than a minute from start to takeoff out of Galesburg for your trip home. I was always taught to get some heat into the oil before exceeding 1000 RPM on a radial. I've owned, maintained, and flown a Stearman for 28 years, and also have several thousand hours in old radial engine equipment, especially the DC-3/C-47 (P&W 1830's) and the Martin 404 (P&W R2800 CB16's). Typed in both. Perhaps that warm up time was edited out of your video. Just curious. Thank you. "Mike" Kelly "Old School" Aviator and CFI

Ah, the magic of the editing room floor... It was about a quarter mile to the takeoff point leaving FW. About a half mile at Galesburg. Engine was plenty warm. And we were mindful of adequate temperature indication in the cockpit prior to takeoff. Thanks for watching and keeping an eye out for us!
