Beautiful images, again, (that lapwing in flight towards the end is stunning!) and what a super place to have a wander around. I don't think we have anywhere quite like that near me. Loved seeing the storks - such kindly-looking birds although I am sure they can stick up for themselves when required! Excellent video, so relaxing to watch.

Good stuff Darrell, I may pay a visit in winter. It's been a few years but their reserve at Caerlaverock used to be good although it's a bit of a drag to get there. Well identified with that duck, we'd call it a 'farmyard special'!

very nice day out Darrell. I use the monopod when using that combo too. Personally, I don't like ball heads as they're too prone to wobbling all over the place - unless you spend £££'s . Alternatively I just got the 3 Legged Thing AirHed Trinity head that allows the lens to move up and down...while the monopod covers the horizontal motion. A tech video from you would be fun !

Nice photos Durrell, you are very lucky with the natural spaces near your residence. I would like to know what focusing system you use most for birds in flight: Auto, 3D, ....?. I would also like to know if you use exposure compensation a lot, I find that often my Z8 tends to underexpose a bit. Thanks and congratulations on your photos.

@@DarrellOakdenPhotography Darell, thanks for your reply and the link. Although I watch your videos this one had escaped me. We share a large part of the settings, obviously not all. 2 more questions: 1- have you noticed that often the Z8 tends to underexpose, with the consequence of noise that goes with it. 2- Your photos have a superb sharpness, do you use any software for noise / focus ? I use Topaz photo AI, do you ? Greetings and thanks from Spain (sorry for my English).
