Thanks Dave…it was a bit on the dull side but great to see them relatively close.

Thanks Phil... useful tips and a very honest photographer's video ... patience, knowning our subjects and luck we would all be lost without that threesome 🙂

Nice vid Phil. I've known a few people with the A1 who have had dust on the sensor problems. At least one ended up having to have his sensor cleaned professionally as the diy kits didn't seem to shift the dust.

It’s a mirrorless issue unfortunately, my Nikon and Canon friends have similar problems. I have found some good fluid and swabs which have rectified the issue.

Welcome back Phil, nice little video and well worth waiting till the end. I’ve been a caravanner for over thirty years and it’s a great way to spend time in your area of choice and enjoy ones hobbies.

Nice footage Phil , made the trip worthwile no doubt , what are your usual settings for slo mo video of birds as its something I am determined to do more of this year . Off to India in April and want to try and get reasonably confident with video before that trip.

Thanks for watching Steve! Sounds like a brilliant trip you have planned Steve. It depends in the video system you are using in camera (PAL which is widely using in Europe or NTSC which is used in N America) and the timeline frame rate you are using. Assuming you are set to PAL your timeline frame rate will be 25fps which helps your video look cinematic (it corresponds to how our eyes see and blur action). So if you shoot at 50fps you can slow this down to half speed (x2 slo-mo) and if you shoot at 100fps you can slow this down to quarter speed (x4 slow mo). You slow the footage down using your video software. Alternatively, you can use the S&Q mode in camera to slow the footage down so it’s baked into the file straight out of camera. I tend to shoot at 100fps then slow it down but x2 or x4 during editing. I hope this helps.
