I don't know why people get so pissed at these videos... It's pest control for fuck sake
@markyd60110 жыл бұрын
Their intelligence level is lacking !!! And they aren't happy unless they are bitching about nothing , I've watched near all of teds vids and he only shoots pest birds , most of them on his neighbors farms , he does a service for his neighbors and at the same time gives adequate knowledge of how the rifles handle , how well the scopes are , what's rounds are best for his rifle , and some entertainment , all in one video , but stupid tree huggers are blinded by the fact that he didn't shoot some of the birds because the are useful pest controlling birds !! I myself am a big fan of ted's holdover and don't pay Much attention to the negativity the lesser minded gum bumpers bring , I still enjoy the videos !! 👍👍👍

What constitutes a pest? I am curious.
@TheZombieburner10 жыл бұрын
Perfect Annihilation Kills native species, devours food sources wholesale, causes massive economic and ecological damage because it doesn't belong in this environment, has insufficient natural countermeasures to stop it, breeds like a rabbit orgy. In short, takes everything, contributes nothing, an ecological parasite. And before you place humans as pests, note that we are indigenous to our environment, do not necessarily cause massive ecological damage, and we DO have a place in the ecosystem. We may be an apex species, but we are decidedly not out of bounds, there are animals and plants that either prosper much more easily due to us, or actually NEED us as part of their life cycle.

I love barn swallows! Good on you for showing how removing introduced species actually helps our native birds! And also observing and protecting our native birds. Before doing this kind of hunting one must have a spotting scope to properly identify the species they are shooting! Some species look very similar and are difficult to properly identify. Know your birds before attempting to shoot anything!!!

Why would we keep to ourselves when KZbin puts a comments section for us to comment? There's no rule that says the comments needs to be positive. Who says we value animal life more than human life? We just don't like animals being killed for nothing. Fast kill to eat fine, slow kill to eat wrong and killing for fun is wrong.
@W4RD1N8ER10 жыл бұрын
Who are you to judge what life is more important animal or man? we are out voted more species of animals than humans ever! they don't fuck up things here on earth like we do they do not cause global warming Animals did not cause Chernobyl and they certainly did not kill millions of Jews shall I go on? I used to think as you do and kill birds with my pellet gun for fun then I GREW UP! and realized who am I to take something's life from it why what was my reason? I had none Just a murderous asshole for nothing wow! what a life achievement oh my parents must be proud picking on animals, well dick head some of us just grow up and see the error of our ways and don't want to be murderers even if its cute like a bag of bunnies or ugly as sin. I only drop an animal for food I get one deer a season and maybe some rabbit or a turkey that's it, I did not want to continue taking lives of poor animals that didn't do anything wrong to anyone I wanted to be better than that. I took lives lots of them for nothing Now I live to better than that. I hunt and feed my kids only what I need and I don't waste an animal I thank it for the contribution it just made to my family I only hunt the seasons my freezer is empty it's not that their lives are worth more but maybe we can show them a little fucking respect is that too much to ask?

This video has my two favorite things: bird watching and killing starlings! Love your channel
@snarkishone10 жыл бұрын
As an old hippy(yes, I was at woodstock) and politically progressive, I would like to say that killing non native birds is the only way I know of to ensure the survival of the indigenous birds. If not, you will no longer see scarlet tanagers, cardinals, or blue birds. They just can't compete. What you will have is an overabundance of starlings and english sparrows, which, due to rapid overpopulation, will die with more pain and with greater suffering, from starvation Don't like to kill anything, in a perfect world I''d bicycle everywhere, eat seaweed, and play only acoustic instruments for my entertainment, but I have to drive a car for work, I'm typing this out on a laptop and I eat meat(no, it's not a religion) and I often hunt what I eat. Very simple solution to this video disturbing anyone...anyone can go to dancing cat videos instead. I hear they're very funny.

I'm not a hippy type at all, but I'll agree with you on this one. Too bad they took to living on this continent, really. If they hadn't, they'd be unharmed and I wouldn't need to pick them off my bird-feeder with a slingshot.

@syntactyx10 жыл бұрын
WILLIAM D'AGOSTINO Display of insensitivity? I didn't say a damn thing about the birds he was shooting, nor did I even allude to any sort of love of animal cruelty or mistreatment because I support no such thing. He is legally hunting these birds to maintain the efficacy of his farm, and the people who complain about that can just click away. You obviously have some issues with him by throwing out that empty "scumbag" insult, so why the fuck are you even watching these videos? Furthermore, my first statement was directed towards those who comment "shoot yourself in the head American moron," denigrate his character simply for the act of hunting itself, and those complaining about his sense of humor. Yes, he made sexist jokes, but are people really that intolerant that they can't even hear a joke they don't agree with without raging about it. That's my opinion. Oh, and I'm a junior Chemistry major at Cornell so don't fucking call me stupid.
@SnazzyZubloids10 жыл бұрын
WILLIAM DAGOSTINO Do you know how stupid YOU sound? This man lives on a farm that grows the food that you walk into the grocery store to buy. His neighbors raise the cattle you enjoy when you're in the back yard grilling or stopping by Wendy's for a cheeseburger, or enjoying that milk on your cereal. He's protecting YOUR best interests as well. European starlings are an aggressive, nasty species that is overpopulated and they chase off the beneficial songbirds and pest-control species with their aggression. They should never have been here in the first place. Kill them on sight.

And as for the people who watch these videos... well you're proof that a fair amount are actually keyboard warriors and armchair activists going about looking for people to insult and things to "protect" to give themselves a sense of self worth in their otherwise devoid life.
