Birds of Prey at Alaska Raptor Center Tour (Sitka Highlight)

The Alaska Raptor Center was one of the highlights of our DIY day in Sitka during our Alaska Cruise in June of 2017. It was located about 1 1/2 mile away from the Harrigan Centennial Hall where our cruise shuttle had dropped us off, so it was a short taxi ride There we got to see many birds of prey including red tail hawk, numerous bald eagles, a pair of cute little owls (one was a northern saw-whet owl & the other was a pygmy owl), and a horned owl.
It was an educational experience- one that kids will especially enjoy. Our six year old son certainly did. So if you are ever in Sitka Alaska, be sure to check out the Alaska Raptor Center. See our other videos on Sitka Alaska here:
