what's so delightful about Birdy is how she doesn't just straight sing the notes of a song but she literally teases out notes with the most beautiful phrasing you can imagine. every sound has been thought about and expresses such fragile emotion. the greatest singers ever were known not so much for technical ability but more to do with their phrasing. It's something that can only be natural not forced. Birdy has it.

I love Birdy. She's so talented, especially at such a young age. It makes her even better that she not only masterfully recreates the work of other artists, but also writes her own music, AND sings it with little to NO help from auto tune or other voice enhancers. And of course how could I leave out that she plays both guitar and piano? They're so many artists today that have little talent and are just famous because of there appearance, some of them can't even sing! But Birdy is a true star and I wish more people would actually recognize her diverse talents. Birdy really is one of the best musicians of this generation.

I think Florence Welch said it best.
