"Softly" was played in the first set, started again by mistake and after one theme it turned to "Green Dolphin Street". A very cheerful Bireli Lagrene. Was a great pleasure to be there.

Bireli spielte vom 25-27.052021 drei Konzerte im Jazzland in Wien mit meinen lieben Freunden und musikalischen Weggefährten Joschi Schneeberger, Martin Spitzer und Joris Dudli. Besonderer Dank gilt an dieser Stelle Joschi Schneeberger, der diesen Event organisiert und damit überhaupt erst möglich gemacht hat. Das Jazzland durfte wegen der aktuellen Corona Bestimmungen zu diesem Zeitpunkt gerade mal 60 Besucher aufnehmen. Bireli erzählte mir dann auch gleich am ersten Abend, wie gut es ihm täte, wieder vor Publikum zu spielen.
Diese drei - ungeprobten -Konzerte fanden also in einem recht intimen Rahmen statt und die Abende hatten etwas Magisches, da es sowohl für die Musiker, als auch für mich und große Teile des Publikums die ersten Live-Events seit langem waren.
Die Band war wirklich großartig und Bireli war einfach unglaublich. Sehr gut gelaunt und mit einem großartigen Spielwitz unterhielt er uns einer der aussergewöhnlichsten Musiker dieser Tage auf höchstem Niveau. Das waren drei ganz besondere Abende.
Bireli played three - unrehearsed - concerts in Jazzland in Vienna from 25-27.052021 with my dear friends and musical companions Joschi Schneeberger, Martin Spitzer and Joris Dudli. Special thanks go to Joschi Schneeberger, who organized this event and made it possible in the first place. Due to the current Corona regulations, the Club was only allowed to accept 60 visitors at this time. Bireli told me on the first evening how good it would be to play in front of an audience again.
These three concerts took place in a rather intimate setting and the evenings had something magical, as they were the first live events for a long time for the musicians as well as for me and large parts of the audience.
The band was really great and Bireli was just amazing. In a very good mood and with a great wit he entertained us one of the most extraordinary musicians of these days at the highest level.
Those were three very special evenings.

J’aime vraiment Birelli Lagrène car très grand Guitarist mais ce qui m’inquiète c’est qu’il est comme moi cheveux blanc donc plus comme avant comme moi ( à peu près le même âge.) ça fait flipper la vie quand même !!!!!!
