You gotta understand, the guys on Street Outlaws have, as a whole, been street racing since the late 1970s. Chief moved there in the early 90s, and a whole lot of long story later, he made a pitch to Discovery for their own show and now he's got one.

Bass Junky They do. Been on one of theese races and they block the road and make a few passes before the cops shows up. They scatter and decide a new spot to continue the races and so it goes on during the entire night.

Imagine Nightmare Nova's 540 ci bbc running on some premium race fuel like VP or FTW. Dragging cars on pump fuel. I'm not sure what compression ratio it's running but this statement is going to be irrelevant. I wish I knew someone with a 500+ ci 16.0:1+ cr running c16 race fuel with no power adders. I would love to drive something like that once.

Between 1993 and 2003 it was a legal streetrace on old airstrips (except 95 due to the lack of cars in 94) In 2003 the goverment shutdown the old airstrips, so they took it to the streets again as a protest and the protest is going on even today and it's called Stockholm Open. Birka Cup and the other series are Stockholm Opens children! Sorry for bad grammar etc, Peace!

2optima222 On Sunday nights in San Antonio, Texas. You could street race down Military dr and the cops would watch. Gang members started showing up and robbing and shooting the racers and spectators. The cops shut it down. Thousands would show up for this every Sunday and it was awesome. It's a shame a few bad eggs screwed it up for everyone.
