Nice Explanation. One thing you forgot to mention about cruise will work only above 30kms and on or above 3rd gear in verna. For Maruti brezza cruise work only above 40kms. After setting speed, When u hold resume+ button for 3 seconds speed will increase 10kms. if you press res+ button one time it will increase 1km. Same procedure when u want to decrease the speed, press one time set- button for 1 km and when u press& hold set- button 3 seconds speed will decrease 10kms. 4 methods to cancel cruise press the brake pedal ,pressing the clutch pedal, cancel button and cruise button. Accelerator pedal will not cancel cruise.

No brother, if it is Manual transmission have to up shift the gears one by one... Or else the RPM might get increased and you may loose your mileage I guess..
