Most of the places in India are hot and dusty, so why do we need a sunroof in cars? If you want to buy a top end without sunroof, that's not possible in many brands. Why should I pay extra for a feature that I don't need?

3 cylinder and 4 cylinder is a phobia only. 3 cylinder 800 cc engines are used in M800 and Alto for the last 30 years and still millions of these models running after lakhs of kms without problems. Yes.. vibrations might be problem in cylinder engines but enough technology available to counter that. Otherwise it gives more mileage , uses less space and components and can have the same power as 4 cylinder counterparts . Majority of the Customers don't bother about no of cylinders..

So Maruti Suzuki can give 5 start safety rating also. Why they didnt consider till these years. They dont have any safety concern on Indian Markets. All other foreign markets have more safer car very much early than us.Seems like a person like Tata has to build something and all other car makers have to build the same when their sales is reduced or questioned. Still i dont think car makers relaised safety is not a accessory but a must for Indians.
