Nothing could be merged in God but only can enhance the good virtues laid in his/ her soul by default by the God. As IBN e Arabi puts: Abd remains Abd even as much he transcends and God remains God even as much he descends.

Here is an ayat on reincarnation: قَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَآ أَمَتَّنَا ٱثْنَتَيْنِ وَأَحْيَيْتَنَا ٱثْنَتَيْنِ فَٱعْتَرَفْنَا بِذُنُوبِنَا فَهَلْ إِلَىٰ خُرُوجٍۢ مِّن سَبِيلٍۢ ١١ They will say, "Our Lord, You made us lifeless twice and gave us life twice, and we have confessed our sins. So is there to an exit any way? So, in my opinion, i can be wrong: One chance is given to bad reputed souls, means two lives they live as per Quran. What about souls with good reputation? If bad souls are given one chance, will good souls be deprived of such things? We don't know, Allah knows well.
