This is pure gold. Especially the TVS piano ident at the end. Thanks for uploading 👍

It's funny to see this programme, made by TVS, with a Southern VT clock.

Why Southern in the beginning?
@antster19838 жыл бұрын
Sean Patchen Because TVS had essentially bought the Southern premises and facilities but were still using Southern equipment.

At 1.50 what is that piece of music? NRM used this in an intercity 125 promo video. I've been looking for it since middle 80's.

Who presented this please? Was it Alan something?

Think it might be Peter Williams.

pointless leaving out the music, Elo, and the classical pieces
@ADCTVCollection9 жыл бұрын
+Mike Brook It might seem pointless to you, but by removing them, it prevents copyright issues with the music. The first time i uploaded this video this morning there was 3 copyright issues with this video. That why i had to re-edit the video.

Clearly someone who doesn't have a KZbin channel. I uploaded 60's BBC election coverage on a channel of mine and got a bloody copyright warning.

I think you are right, it seems that most of the people that put comments like that don't have a channel and are the first to moan when its not to their liking.

@@ADCTVCollection Classical music has no copyright anymore..
@ADCTVCollection5 жыл бұрын
Tell that to KZbin, I had 3 copyright claims on the music, as I said on the comment above 3 years ago.

A poor ITV company. I'm glad we only had to suffer it for ten years.

I don't know about TVS, as I live in what was then the Thames/LWT London region, but I do remember they did do some series for the ITV Network later on in their time, such as CATS Eyes (from what had been LWT's The Gentle Touch); which starred Jill Gascoine; and The Ruth Rendell Mysteries with Inspector Wexford starring George Baker.The Wexford series was filmed at Romsey in Hampshire near TVS' studios in Southampton; although it was inspired by Ruth Rendell who had been to the town of Wexford in the county of the same name in southern Ireland. I know these series were fully networked at the time. Thank you!!

Also I remember reading that TVS wanted seriously to become one of the large major players in the ITV Network at the time. Instead of the Big Five-Thames; LWT; Central; Granada; and Yorkshire; they wanted understandably to join them. However, I don't think they did though, as by the end of 1992 of course their time ended, and when it was 1993 onwards, the scheduling was taken over by the ITV Network Centre as far as I know. Thank you!!

Utter rubbish. TVS was one of the best ITV stations ever.
