And if you want women to stop bleaching their skin then may I suggest that you try and eliminate the widespread colourist mentality in our community that's hurting our young women and girls? Why not teach them that "Caddaan" doesn't equal "qurux" and that being "madow" doesn't mean that you're ugly? Why not teach our young boys and men that as well so they don't navigate the world with that toxic mindset? Watching this documentary made me cry, it not inform us of the potential and the power of collective work and national building. Once capable people blessed with the beautiful land and resources - have now reduce global beggars. Living on the generosity of others due to primitive, unrelenting and insidious power of tribal politics millions have perished and what was built and achieved was destroyed. Anyone with conscious will shed tears and pity our current predicament. SIYAD might have been a dictator but he was never a thief that enriched himself from the resources and wealth of the country.
