Vanessa Penaluna to recognise that the best thing for a child isn’t you and to give that opportunity to another family is such a selfless thing it takes so much strength. I’m adopted and we definitely have a lot of respect for our birth mums in our family. We call them the tummy mummy’s and say thank you for their selfless gift ever birthday and adoption day. X

💯. We adopted our gorgeous girl and naturally got pregnant 6 mos later after years of infertility. As the pregnancy progressed I began o feel the baby move. I vividly remember rocking our daughter one evening and sobbing as the baby inside me moved. My husband walked in and asked what was wrong. I cried to him, “She felt this. She felt her moving inside her for months and months and still had the courage and strength to give her to us”. That moment still resonates with me almost 14 years later. Birth mothers are courageous and strong beyond comprehension ❤️

For a birth mother to give a child to a family is the most selfless act a mother can do for her child. I have so much respect for a woman who gives her child away because the child will have a life that she can't give them. God be with you through this time and always.

Thank you for having such a positive view on adoption. So many people don't understand that placing a child for adoption is never an easy choice no matter the circumstances. Many birth families could parent if they absolutely had to but know what is BEST is to find another family to parent.

I’m a birth mom of a beautiful baby girl that I put up for adoption in March of this year. No judgement please but I was one of those that didn’t know I was pregnant, She just turned 6 months old and is so beautiful. I have my moments of regret but then I realize that god gave me her for a reason and that was to give somebody the gift a child that they couldn’t have. The parents I picked are amazing and I get weekly pictures of her. I have seen her in person a few times as well.

I'm a birth mom. The one sad thing I went through was disassociating after birth. I had the mindset that my baby was not mine. I'm so happy that I did it though. He's now 9 and he has the most amazing family and little sister. It's an open adoption so I still get to see him. I couldn't have ever made him as happy as he is with them. I don't regret it at all. It was definitely a whole experience but I wouldn't have changed anything. I am finally ready to have my own baby and I know mentally it's going to be all new because he was meant for his parents and this one will be for me.

It is true that all adoptions begin with loss but there is lots of love, tears, and joy mixed in as well. Birth mom's are so amazing because they endure the pain of loss for the long term well-being of their child. The pain goes beyond that day too which is why I encourage people to pick adoption agencies that have long term care and support in place for birth moms. Open adoptions also offer a much better long term outcome for everyone in the adoption triad. If you are interested in learning more about open adoptions, check out this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/r2bJl3aFl9lgosU.

After 10 years of infertility and two failed IVF treatments, we're going to adopt my sister's baby in July 2020. So grateful for this opportunity and it's nice to know we're not alone. It's much harder to adopt a non-family member baby here in New Zealand though. Adoptive parents have bugger all rights. Anyway, congrats guys. Your videos are invaluable.

As an adoptee please promise me something. Please love her and care for her as if she was blood related to you. Please Never make her feel as if she is different or isn’t any less yours than she would’ve been if she was blood related to you. Please remind her everyday that she is wanted and loved. I stress this to you because I have felt this way growing up as an adoptee. It wasn’t anything my parents had done to make me feel this way but sometimes the thoughts lingered in my head and it would’ve been nice to hear these things more than I did growing up, and still now. Much love to you and your family❤️

You are so right when you said every adoption starts from a loss. I placed my baby at birth 22 years ago while I was in college. It was a closed adoption. About 6 months ago we found each other through Ancestry DNA. We were actually both looking for each other. I was so worried that her Mom and Dad would be upset but they love her so much that their response was that it just means there is more love. Even though adoption was the right choice my heart was broken for 22 years. I have 2 other children who are 16 and 18. All three now have a wonderful relationship. And I talk to my birth daughter several times a week. Adoption is such a beautiful thing. You have a beautiful family and I wish you good health and happiness. Sending love from Georgia 💗

Can u plz share the feeding method what we can give for newborn adopted child... Formula feed is enough? And the interval of feeding?
@JAKSJourney4 жыл бұрын
Yes a high quality formula is sufficient. Newborns eat every 3 hours.
@omgomg23024 жыл бұрын
@@JAKSJourney can u advice some brands of formula feeding?
@JAKSJourney4 жыл бұрын
We used Enfamil Gentlease but the main thing is that they have DHA in them which most modern formulas do. Your pediatrician will also have advice on good brands.

Question how long was the wait after you finish all paper work plus home study counting time period after all that work of paper work.
@JAKSJourney4 жыл бұрын
For the full time line you can check out this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hXaXdJ-lfdaZeZY Specifically your question though, it was two weeks from the time everything was turned in until our profile went live. 3 months from when we applied at the agency until we went live.

Just found your channel and am in love . I have PCOS and took about a year and a half to get pregnant with our little girl and are considering adopting for another due to no cure for my PCOS and currently ttc . If you don’t mind me asking , was there a certain adoption agency that you guys went with ?
@JAKSJourney5 жыл бұрын
We went with a local agency that works solely with Kansas based birth mothers, Kansas Children's Service League. American Adoptions was our second choice. Keep in mind we did not qualify for faith based agencies, which account for 70%+ of the agencies out there.

Can you recommend an agency or consultant? Your videos are so amazing! I just found you guys! We are in the Homestudy process right now
@JAKSJourney2 жыл бұрын
We used a local state based agency instead of a national one, so that the birth family would be close and we wouldn't have to travel to pick up a baby. If you are in the US, it takes about two weeks (if everything goes smoothly) to get through the court process that allows you to take the baby back to your home state.
