Oh, Sarah your dream you have been waiting for. Thank God! Thank you for sharing this beautiful time with us. It was magical. I didn’t get to have this experience with my daughter as she was adopted at birth. I did get to cut the cord but the mood was so different and scary. You gave me this beautiful experience I will never have so thank u 🙏🏻 thank u from my aching heart. U Shari g this has put me back in that hospital where I had to run out of the room and fall to my knees inferring would everything work out. I couldn’t speak. I couldn’t think all I could do was ask God to please let this rainbow baby I had waited for 9 years to be my dream come true. He did, she is now 12 y/o and the light of my life. She has some difficulties we have had to work they but she was the answer to all my heartaches and the unknowns of loosing so many times. God bless you and your family. I’m so glad you told that doctor NO so you could have your miracle too! Fox is going to be the best brother ever. I’m happy for you all, and please know God has shined his light upon u and your family and never let anyone turn it down. You are God’s will Sarah!🌹🌹🌹🌹

So similar to my VBAC experience. I must say, I had a very hard time accepting that I also had to request a partial epidural when my body started pushing involuntarily and I still had 3-4cm to go. But seeing your journey and how good your team and you were accepting that decision and moving fwd had really helped my heart settle and accept it more too. ❤️

I know you probably have so many comments like this but… I had a really traumatic, intense, wild first natural birth. And I dream of what my second birth will be like. I want to birth naturally until I can’t anymore with my second as well..hearing you say “I’m so happy I got an epidural” as you felt your baby’s head made me feel so much hope. My least favorite part about my first unmedicated birth was feeling so mentally disconnected the whole time. I’m just so grateful you shared this

Thank you so much Sarah for sharing this beautiful beautiful labour video! You did so well staying calm and persevering and choosing what was best for you during your birth. Crying so much watching this because I gave birth to my beautiful little girl a week and two days ago and it takes me right back to my labour which was such a positive experience despite it not turning out how I imagined. My waters broke with meconium too so I couldn’t birth in the water like I wanted and had to be induced, but then ended up delivering her on all fours with gas and air. The moment my midwives passed her up through my legs to me was one of the best moments I’ve ever had. Thank you for having such vulnerability to share your beautiful birth

This is truly beautiful and as someone who also did a natural birth with their first it was really interesting to see how baby number to was and the thought process of relating it back to the first but also making the right decision for you and baby. I would love to do another natural birth but I am also open if needed to take the pain meds if I feel that it is what I need in that moment. This video made my husband cry! (The man who didn’t cry at our wedding or when we found out we’re pregnant)… this was just the most raw and beautiful thing I’ve ever watched ♥️

There's so much stigma around epidurals and I was hoping not to have one either but it literally turned my terrifying/ traumatic labour experience in to the most beautiful thing in the world. You did amazing, congratulations ❤️❤️

There really is!! I had a back to back labour, and they would not let me move so I was on my back which was so painful the only place I was comfortable was the birthing ball. In the end, I got an epidural and the first thing my grandma said to me when she saw me was “I knew you wouldn’t be able to handle the pain” like back to back labour is awful, I was told I smashed my birth / labour and then she said that to me when she visited 💔

@@itswaytoomucheffort5424 I'm so sorry, birthing a new life in to the world whichever way is a massive achievement and every single woman's experience is different but equally as incredible. Not to generalise but I think people from older generations just didn't have that choice and had it of been there and they had been in your situation, they probably would have opted for pain relief too! Don't let one persons words affect the power you hold in birthing your baby. You would have done a wonderful job and the main priority is a healthy baby and healthy (both mentally and physically) Mumma afterwards ❤️

@@itswaytoomucheffort5424 I'm so sorry she said that to you. Every labor/birth is different. There isn't a right or wrong way to do it, there is just what is right for that particular time for the baby and mother involved. Don't let her unfiltered, nasty comment color your birth memories!!

@@ebonycolliver2164 definitely is a generation thing! I was also induced and had the drip which makes labour pains worse apparently 😂 I know I smashed my labour and delivery and I’m so proud that I brought my baby into the world. But when she said that, I felt so small. I don’t regret my epidural and if I was to do it again I would have it. People just have such a negative thing against epidural and I don’t understand why 😂 any other pain they would say take whatever helps the pain but when it comes to birth it’s different 🤷🏼‍♀️😂 xx

"Checking out and being alone with my hood on was so helpful" ABSOLUTELY! I wore noise canceling headphones (piano music playing) for each of my home births and I never took them off until it was time to push baby out. I think it's like primal instinct or something for mamas to want to hide and be alone to just do the damn thing in peace LOL beautifully done mama! He's perfect.

I’ll admit I haven’t given birth or watched any birth videos besides yours, but I am brought to tears by the pain and beauty of this moment for you and really all of us collectively as humans. Much respect and love to you - Sarah, Kurt, and the whole family. Thank you for sharing.

I cannot imagine reaching down and pulling out your own baby into your arms. I was blown away when the nurse said that it was something they could do if Sarah wanted. I’m so excited to see what Sarah says about that part of her experience

I was shocked when my midwife asked me to reach down and pickup my baby after labouring for over 12 hours, but am so glad she did. My baby was not well and very floppy, she had breathing problems the first year of life and lots of tests for cystic fibrosis as she had many signs even during my pregnancy. Thankyou Jesus she is a healthy 21 year old about to have my first grandson.
