Sounds like a brilliant bookshop! I really like the sound of In my dreams I hold a knife. Ooh and The Listeners. I hadn’t heard of that. I saw a John Dickson Carr in a charity shop the other day and wanted to read it but they wanted £8 (it was a green penguin) and it was falling apart so I didn’t end up going for it. My mum read a Celia Dale recently and liked it but I don’t think it was that one. Love Shirley Jackson. Happy belated Birthday! 🥳
