Another amazing and comprehensive episode guys! When it comes to delicious food, this hotel is a gem! Giving you my version on how the military hotel concept came about - Military Hotel is a short code name for Hindu Military hotels which were Hindus owned non veg hotels. They used the term military because it was popular among military service men. They used to ensure there is no beef and they served only Jhatka meat (the meat which is obtained by a painless one single blow to the animal during slaughter). It is because in those days Hindus demanded these conditions be met in order to eat non veg food outside home.

Facts from a bangaloren - Donne biriyani / pulao and all the naati chicken and mutton dishes are the flavours of gowda community who are native Bangalore and Mysore mandya people. They were the zamindars/landowners during the British raj they were prominently non-vegetarians...the maratha cuisine was introduced by a maratha military person who came back to Bangalore and started serving maratha flavours blend in with gowda delicacies so it became military hotel...on a whole it's Desi and rooted country side recipies of gowdas with a slight maratha masala(because of the person) and served under a military name.....shivaji military hotel was one of the oldest places where all it began and since it became so famous the military name continued every where just like pulao became biryani.....at this point and time there are 1000s of hotels in Bangalore who serve naati gowda maratha blend in style of food in the name of military hotel .....it became so much popular because of the usage of naati(country meat not the farm one), the home cooking style which in turn makes it healthy and homely also consisting of punchy flavors and the reasonable price at which they serve

RKR- yes bro. Technically Gowda community is not just Mysore Mandya Bangalore Channapatna Ramnagara - They are predominantly Gangatkar subcaste of Gowda community. Hassan, Kolar and Chikkamagaluru are also predominately Gowdas of different subcastes like Gangatkar Das Namdaris aswell. An amazing explanation. Much appreciated👌🏽

Beautiful episode. Sid is a proper proper food connoisseur. Just the depth and certainty in food that he has is beautiful to watch. Best part for me was the multiple times the owner sat Shashanks ass down big time. The man literally does nothing but talk shit and this episode had an owner who could give it right back. Loved it! guys, i went to this same place as i live in banaglore, the food was complete waste and they charge u more than the quantity, i have had some great experience with other military hotel, so there is this military hotel JKV Military hotel jayanagar, you should try that and proof me i am wrong, the entire meal will be from my side. The one which you have made the video for, i have ordered mutton biryani, mutton liver and botti fry all these items were bad biryani was having no taste the mutton piece were blant, botti fry was having a weird tast and mutton liver just ok ok. I doubt how you liked the food here and believe me i went to this resturant just by watching ur video and hate going there........ Next time please be true about the reviews, and its not my personal review i have compared it with other military hotel that is way better than this one in ur video.
