its not about waking up at 6.00 AM to eat the biryani, its about getting drunk all night or going for a night out and getting something to eat. Biryani being that something to eat is what makes it all worth it as there are few eataries that are open from 3.00 - 5.00 AM in the morning

I know it is really hyped but their Mutton Pulao/Biryani is pretty good. I went there a few months ago on weekday morning without the rush (would never go on weekend) and the Mutton pulao quantity was amazing. The mutton was tender and tasted good. The rice ofc is plainly spiced and overall the dish tastes very much homemade. I dont know what people expect from a simple mutton pulao made in traditional style but it is satisfactory. You are free to criticize it if there is anything wrong with it but this is my personal opinion.

To give credit to Kripal Amanna, he was true to what he saw and you were true to what you saw. I think if people are on a short visit to the city, Military hotels and local eateries in Bengaluru provides the best collection of authentic regional food.

Hoskote biryani is overhyped, earlier morning Biriyani is Bengaluru’s tradition, and that tradition is amazing at many nati style restaurants in Bengaluru city. Yes the veg breakfast and coffee is like core of Bengaluru and you can find places like SLV pretty much in every area.

Man, if you really need authentic legit biryani you need to explore Frazer Town and Shivajinagar areas. Hoskote biryani, any biryani looking that yellow with the rice and sturdy meat is just hype!

The beautiful thing about Bangalore eateries is that you go to any tiny "darshini", you get food that tastes as spectacular as the one you guys experienced at SLV. Darshini is just a word we use for these outlets similar to SLV. It's actually these local, tiny eateries that knock your taste buds out of the world than any beer game that it tries to pull.

Hoskote biryani does not stand a chance against Shivaji biryani. As you yourselves have seen that most of the people visiting hoskote for biryani are first timers who just drop in due to the hype( thanks to KZbin vloggers)and I too was one of them. There are numerous place in Bangalore which serve far better tasting biryani.

If you are a dosa lover, then CTR, Bangalore Cafe(Jayanagar), MTR and Upahara Darshini aka UD(Jayanagar) serve the best masala dosas in the country in that order. Don't miss if you are in Bangalore. If you hear about Mulbagal dosa the you could try it. Personally i am not a fan. As for idli, you must definitely try the Sebakki Idli there in the mulbagal dosa place. Sebakki Idli is a lesser known gem. Also, bene means butter and tuppa means ghee. Great show btw! Enjoy your stay in Namma Uru, Bengaluru! 🙏🙏🤗🤗🍻🍻
