Looked good Missy. I've got lazy in my old age and make the 2 ingredient biscuits.❤

They had all the flavor of Hardee's! Aiden and I had them with breakfast this morning and they were still delicious. Hope yours turn out fluffier than mine 😁 Let me know what you think about them when you make them 😉

Missy, I actually worked at Hardee's, in the 80's. Every batch of biscuits consisted of 5 lbs selfrising flour, 2 pounds crisco, and half a gallon of buttermilk. It makes alot. I freeze mine on a cookie sheet uncooked, then bag them up once they are frozen.

They're our favorite! I'd love to get this recipe downpat. I'm going to continue to play around with it and see what I can do 💜

They use ghee instead of butter, and smother the tops in it as soon as they come out of the oven.

@tammyallen2931 ghee!! That's the key! Idk why I didn't think of that 🙄 Thank you! 💜

The reason your biscuits were a bit too dark on the bottom is that your pans are very dark as opposed to shiny. A dark pan absorbs heat whereas a shiny pan tends to reflect it. You can fix this by putting a sheet of aluminum foil on the rack underneath the one the pan goes on. I've been doing this for decades because my pans are almost black. Also, I don't think you need the parchment paper.

Hi Missy The Hardee’s look great even a little thin but otherwise good. I don’t like Bisquick for biscuits. Never have had good luck with it. Let’s find another recipe. Thanks . Subscribed and love the channel.

Hi, Miss Patsy! I'm not a fan of using Bisquick either. I'm not a fan of the taste of it in biscuits. I'm on the hunt for another recipe. There's a ton of them out there 😳

Adding butter will make them rise higher because the water in the butter will make steam that will also make them flakier. They would also be a little crispier on the outside.

That's what I was thinking, too. Someone also said they used ghee, which I love. I'm going to play around with it and see what I come up with 😁
