TRIPLE SQUARE! I've wrenched on cars for 20 years and just learned about these 4-5 years ago when I bought a Porsche 944. The axle bolts are triple square heads. Once you get used to it, it's kinda nice. You can get big torque on them without much slippage, as long as you have the bit seated properly in the bolt head.

Whats about taken them out upwards instead of pulling down, the bits for bolts you looking for are called spline (used in vag group (wv audi skoda seat lamborghini and bentley I believe ) Anyway you can still try to reach out guys from Ross-Tech as could be something you can disable electronically.

Note. Underbody plastics are also good for reducing airturbulence. Also you should try save the Wheels. Just take them to a wheelfixer. Curb rash can be welded and fixed on a lathe/Wheel balancer and any bends can be balanced out aswell.

@@trevorhart3 It'll most likely be a different shade of green and it is different for each car because the paint color fades over time. So, he will most probably have to color match the paint. And Lambos come in special kind of paint and custom shades which are not cheap to say the least.

Those rollover protection bar things are likely pyrotechnically activated cuz the need to pop out near instantaneously when it senses a rollover is happening. I'd hazard a guess they are also 1-time use like seatbelt retractors.

Look in the glove box or front trunk (aka frunk) for the wheel lock key. They are typically always there for when the owner has a flat tire.

I got an idea for a build. 2 wrecked cars into 1 good car. A front and a back or a left and a right. I don't mean welding 2 cars together, just the combining of good parts, painting and getting something worth more than both cost. Ask Tavarish about moving the roof do's and don'ts . I have a feeling you're going to want some tips about getting it out of sync with the roof computer.

Chris. I think that in order for you to lift the top, the rear window assembly needs to be back on the car. These type of convertibles have a sensor, at the bottom of the rear window assembly, that allows you to lift the top, only when the window is down (for safety reasons), and vice versa. Since the sensor is missing, the car thinks that the rear window is up, and prevents you from lifting and closing the top. Just my 2 cents. Good luck, Jordan

There should be an access port on the bar mechanism I believe in the front. You stick a small screwdriver in there and it will release the bar so you can push it back down. You don’t have to take everything apart

I think the reason why the convertible top won’t go up is because of the door missing. The ecu has to register that both doors are closed,windows down in order for the convertible top to open or close, if you’re able to bypass that you should be golden..

When you quickly learn what those bits are called. So now have a few XZN bits about now. VAG products are crawling with them. I first came across them on a Skoda Fabia I had the job of putting front dampers on. But no biggie, they can be purchased from somewhere that had the good sense to stock them.
