My Uncle never claimed to write this song but He sang it as if He did! He had no reason to steal a song He was blessed to be a writer himself and he had many writers and ones who loved and honored him. I miss him so much!!

Thank you so much for posting this. I used to regular this church. I was so young around Bishop Abney. But he left such an impact on my I literally remember him 25 years later. He was so good and kind. Really takes a special kind of person to be like him.

THIS SONG WAS STOLEN from a WHITE BISHOP named DON JOHNSON of Memphis TN a PENTECOSTAL ONENESS BISHOP who wrote I CAN'T COMPLAIN and this guy changed one word from CAN"T TO WON'T and tells the world he wrote it????????? The Entire Black Gospel Artist who recorded this could have been sued by DON JOHNSON for COPY RIGHT INFRINGEMENT but he said he wanted to be the better person and if his song gets people to heaven thats all that really matters. But you try stealing from the BLACK CHURCH and you will find yourself in a COURT OF LAW with AL SHARPTON & JESSE JACKSON shouting NO JUSTICE NO PEACE . Bishop Abney a thief No! I never got to hear him preach but heard he was excellent teacher and probably one the best pastors Grand Rapids had from what I’ve heard from others. I’m Caucasian and from Detroit originally. I got to witness David Ellis & Charles Ellis afterwards and heard from people that I would’ve loved Bishop Abney teaching.
