Wow! Thank you for sharing this. I went to you. I just clicked. She is my Patron Saint that I chose when I converted to Catholicism. For many reasons. I never really paid attention to the feast days right before and after her feast day. I pray to my Archangels and call upon all other Angels to help me now . This just sent all kind of signs going thru my head . I feel so blessed. God Bless You and I thank you for sharing

When we pray, we aren't asking the perfect to change to suit the imperfect, but that we might change, aligning ourselves to His perfect will, which is for our ultimate good. When we pray for another, we ask that we may be instruments of His will for their benefit, participating in His perfect love, and for them to remain hopeful, and benefit from whatever cross is theirs to carry.

Since childhood, l have collected the images of Saints. Only five years ago, while walking my dog, l saw this envelope laying on the street. I noticed it had a beautiful image and thought, that must be a Saint. And it was St. Thérese. When l returned home, l called long distance information and called to her Shrine to request information about her. I was still waiting for the materials, when one day my dog, a small all white dog arrives with blood all over his hind leg. I have Epilepsy, don't drive, and even if I did, l didn't have the money to pay a Vet. All l could think to do was to bathe him. Well, l came across a small hole, about the size of the top of my little finger. And as l rinsed him, l then saw that it went from outside his thigh all the way through to the inside. I was so upset, l was afraid that the bath wouldn't be enough to stave off infection. And l was crying and l remembered St. Thérese, and l cried out please save my dog, don't let him die. Two, two days later, he is running around as if Nothing had ever happened. Well, since then, l send what l am able, usually about $25 a month. There has Never been one thing that l have prayed for and not received! She is my patron Saint! Once, l was in the hospital, when l returned l came across a small Rose bud on my kitchen counter by the Coffee maker! I couldn't believe it! I told a friend, she's 94 and she was so excited that l decided to mail it to her. I had 3 weeks, it had dried so perfectly. When she gets it, she asked me what l did to preserve it, the petals were Soft as a fresh bloom would be. I said it's dry isn't it? No, l have it in a small glass of water! I couldn't bring myself to tell her that it was Bone Dry when l placed it in the envelope! It wasn't until 4 or 5 months later that l confessed to her, l didn't think she would have believed me. But, she told me that it was a special Miracle. And ever since, l have been so much like St. Thérese in my True faith and trust in God and in Jesus. It's a real blessing, and it all began with an envelope l found in the street! Thank you Father, l count you as another reason for my Spiritual growth! May God Bless You! Yeah, but is she a Saint merely because of the time period she was born in??? I'm a die hard Catholic and I love St. Therese, but when I read about her I can't help but wonder. Of course she was a Holy person....but, I mean, do you really think she would have been so eager to spend her life in a convent if she had been born in 1983 instead of 1873??? Is her holiness due more the time frame she grew up in?? Back then there were not that many opportunities for young girls. You either got married and raised a family or you became a Nun. Do you really think Therese....a cute, young, upper-middle class French girl (today) would have followed the same route?? I highly doubt it???.

The Little Flower is the greatest Doctor of the Church of them all-no mean feat when you have St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Athanasius, St. Anthony of Padua, St. Basil the Great, the Venerable Bede, and St. John of the Cross, just to name a few. Her small book would just blow the minds of most modern Protestants despite all their endless talk about having a personal relationship with Jesus. Nobody was more personal regarding Jesus than Therese. St. Therese ora pro nobis!

Dear Father, I say the Chaplet of Saint Michael almost everday. I try too. At the end of the pray--which can take me 30 to 45 minutes to say--you are suppose to say one Our Father, in honor of your guardian angel. So, I say one, in honor of Saint Terese of the child Jesus. My guardian angel.

When someone asks you to pray for them, what are they asking for? This has always perplexed me. I expect I'm coming at it with a wrong understanding. My current understanding: it seems like when someone asks you to pray for them, they want you to talk to God and say "God, I don't like the way you're handling this situation. Because I think I know better than you do, could you change what you're doing in (these specific ways)?" Please clarify to me where I am understanding it wrong.

Liracomx Saint Terese judges the angels now. "Don't you know that we will judge angels?"-1 Corinthians 6:3 You don't have authority to say who or what can be a guardian angel. You don't have this authority. Who are you?
