when people be comparing him to earl and joey, they arnt realizing that all 3 have SUPER heavy MfDoom inspiration. They all sound very similar because they all take mf doom in their flows. It's interesting to see the impact so literal on todays rappers, just like seeing pac's influence on jayrock and freddie gibbs

imo nehruvia EP is the absolute dopest shit bishop has released. The best rap album of the new millenium and unless Jay Electronica is going to make a full release (which lets be real - thats not happening) its going to stay that for the next few decades. The only "bad" thing you can say about it is that a lot of the tracks arent music that is easy to listen to when you just want to have a good time. Maybe thats more a positive of how powerful the emotion contained in the tracks actually is. Just incredible.

Majority of people will always follow the trends. There is nothing you can really do about it, people will say chief keef and migos outshine every rapper that is lyrically equipped. And there are gonna be people who like this music mainly because its different. But they don't even listen to the story being told, the thing about hip hop its not about how loud that beat slaps or what rapper carries the most juice. Its about listening to the story behind it. its low-key like poetry on a different level. "beast coast" makes the best music by far today along with some of these other new east coast and west coast rappers. Let the haters hate, cant get mad at anyone for their opinion.

What's wrong with continuing a tradition? No Nehru isn't reinventing anything here. He wears his influences on his sleeves but his music is thoughtful, positive and clearly comes from a genuine love of his art form. Just as people continue to right, record and perform Trad Jazz or Irish folk music, young New Yorkers are entitled to recreate and draw influence from the traditions of raw "Golden Era" hip-hop.
