I started not to type anything, but after reading most of the comments I had to add my two cents to all of these excellent commenters. I agree that Bishop Sheard is walking in a spirit of pride and haughtiness. If I could speak to him I would remind him that the Bible does says that “Pride goeth before destruction and an haughty spirit before a fall. Also to the general board I would say, “Better is it to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.” Proverbs 16:18. Man love to surround himself with yes men and if you take a look at the photo of the presiding bishop and the general board for the next four years of COGIC their all “yes men”and the ones who are not have jelly spines and are to afraid to speak up. God will judge them all though that’s not for us to do. I learned this from Bishop Wooden. I use to wonder why he would always treat everyone so nicely even though knowing they disliked him. I would watch how he would word comments on KZbin and how he would just love on them and I thought to myself, “why don’t you just tell them off and forget them?” Then I was reading in my Bible about no matter how badly King Saul treated David-David still respected him as king. David said that it was not for him to take care of King Saul, God would, and God did. Bishop Wooden is following David’s example. God will take those down in COGIC leadership when He sees fit just like He did with King Saul’s dynasty. Bishop Wooden will take the helm when it’s Gods timing, not ours.🕊

Read Hosea 8:1-7, God does actually care who leads the country/government. When the Christians voted and selected Biden/Harris for the 2021-2024 administration, it brought repercussions to America. Christians broke covenant with God by transgressing againsts His biblical laws for a godless leader, idols and supporting evil agendas. Christianity is #1 practice religion in America. God appointed imperfect Trump for presidency to bring back biblical laws, peace and common sense to government. 2 Chronicles 7:14 has happened with this election in America. God has given us grace 🙏🏽. Do you know that God established His governments since the days of Noah for order and peace in the land. Also appointed imperfect kings/leaders to uphold his biblical laws in the government. I was raised COGIC. Left in 2017. I'm now under Apostle AR Williams. It has been a glorious shift. I attended the holy convocation last night and can genuinely say this church is not prepared for what God is doing in this millennium. It's not even the focus. I can tell you the title of the sermon because it was on the screen behind the preacher, but I couldn't tell you anything I learn. Which is a common occurrence in that church that I remember as a member. Ask God for discernment and consider this a sign: leave!

I said what I said to him: he is my presiding Bishop, but he does not have the right to issue an endorsement without giving a disclaimer that it is his personal endorsement, and that it is not the endorsement of the body of the Church of God in Christ. I also pointed out to him that he is putting our 501(c)(3) status at stake. I reminded him, as I'm doing right now, that the last Bishop who thought he was the Pope was Bishop C.D. Owens, and he was removed and unelected by Bishop G.E. Patterson. Therefore, you have to govern your words accordingly, because when you speak, you must make it clear that you're not speaking for the whole Church of God in Christ. See what happened: he lost the position, and all those Bishops who are receiving HUD funding, Veterans Affairs funding, and Health and Human Services funding did not want their books to be looked at, and they don't want to lose their funding under this new administration.

It would have been more prudent to extend an invitation to Trump as well. I've always always been that girl who has to hear both sides. When my friends tell me about their relationships, I give them a different perspective because most times people just want u to listen or agree.
