BISHOP vs. RONAN THE ACCUSER (Expert) Marvel Champions Playthrough

This is my best game with Bishop!
Bishop is way stronger than I thought. What do you guys think? Is he an S tier hero? I'm personally not sure, but he's definitely no less than A tier.

Great job! Bishop has quickly become one my favorites, and it's nice to see how well you handled Ronan in this challenge. Bishop has also given me new found satisfaction in having Lockjaw in his deck as a resource sink where I never really liked Lockjaw before him.

Once he has his uniform in play, he definitely feels like an S tier. To me, it's easier if I compare him to X-23, another recent extremely strong hero. Bishop's only problem is that he's inconsistent due to the high number of resource cards (which you pretty much have to have in your deck for him to function properly). But even those inconsistet turns aren't always bad, unless it's pretty early in the game. I played a lot of Bishop and a friend of mine played a lot too. I always played him in Leadership, my friend used a Taunt Protection build. He had some crazy turns when activating 3 Taunts and getting through his whole deck (and even crazier that he survived those 3 taunts, but he had enough healing cards). Both builds were pretty powerful and your justice deck doesn't seem any worse from what I'm seeing. He's probably decent at worst even in aggression, though I wouldn't use it, he has enough damage anyway. Maybe he's S tier. I consider Doctor Strange, Spider Ham, Miles Morales, Venom, Deadpool and X-23 (yes, I haven't lost a single game with her so far, doesn't matter if I used protection or leadership and with new support, she got even stronger, the Ronan benchmark fight has yet to come though). Some consider Spider-Woman an S tier also, which is fair, Pheromones is an amazing card, but against Steady and Stalwart, she loses one of her best tools and when I recently played her a few times, she didn't feel as strong as X-23, but I still wouldn't put her less than high A tier. Anyway, I feel like Bishop might be at least as strong as X-23, so that would also put him in S tier (my personal S tier that is). I have to play some X-23 with the new leadership stuff.

Fair evaluation! I personally think Bishop is stronger than a lot of the heroes you mentioned, but I’m not 100% sure if he’s S tier although I agree with everything you said about him. I am interested to hear your evaluation of X-23 after the Ronan benchmark. Currently, I’m of the opinion that she struggles hard against expert Ronan/Venom Goblin, but I’m not very acquainted with her so there could be something I’m missing.

Thank you! Much appreciated :) In regards to the Power Stone, Superior Tactics was in play for both those instances of damage. The side scheme doesn’t allow Ronan to lose the Power Stone!

Thanks!! And yea Bishop is a top 5 hero for me. Personally i think Cable is the most consistent because he can guarantee certain side schemes turn 1, but i can definitely see the case for Bishop

@@attyla8621 hahaha i already have Hawkeye versus Ronan on the channel. I think that characterizes my least favorite hero against a difficult villain. As for the mini-campaign, I really like Cable for it because he’s so quick at setting up… Bishop takes longer and I think the games would take almost 3 hours to complete 😅
