I had X-Men: Gamesmaster's Legacy for the Game Gear back in the day and Bishop was the best character. I even had the comic of Illiana’s funeral and remember how Bishop was the only one who could resist Magneto’s blood grip.

It would be cool to see a story where the mutants resurrect Trevor Fitzroy who for benevolent (or otherwise) reasons decides to use his powers to travel to the "future" to obtain Shard's DNA with Bishop (and the Maurauders). The device Forge used in 90's X-Factor series to create a hard light replication of Shard holds her brain patterns (Cerebro part?) So they just need her DNA to be able to ressurect her. This would keep the timeliness intact as well.

It's always "funny" how they put the black male characters in a negative aspect. The history of Bishop proves this consistently. Doesn't matter the writer. Even now he's just a side bar just for certain stories. He should be an Omega level mutant at this point. His powers should be upgraded by now.

Bishop got me into X-Men. I picked up his first few comics from spinner racks. Plus his original costume was awesome. It's like a police version of the original team. And he kept getting in everyone's face. On the cartoon he was awesome. Old Wolverine, Forge, days of future past... in AoA he was more of a reluctant warrior. And that works too. The more recent versions... no. They need to fix him. One of my favorites.

Bishop powers explains whom is grandmother is. Storm is an energy manipulator and is able to link with the forces that compose an atmosphere albeit cosmic, magic, elemental or whatever and use it to her advantage. Bishop in a sense does the exact same thing with the exception that Storm’s powers are psionically linked/synced and Bishop’s powers are passively absorbed, which he then has control over how he emits the energies he absorbs to some extent. Now where does Gateway come in at is on Marvel. Maybe Gateway is on Storm’s father side of the family🤷🏽‍♂️! Storm’s powers and training allow her telepathic resistance and she’s psionic and Storm’s magical potential helped to protect her against Wanda’s “No More Mutants” curse and it may have very well protected every mutant within her vicinity (marvel never broke it down on why some mutants were ineffected). Storm is the only mutant who doesn’t have a mutant family vs Wolverine, Cyclops & Jean, Gambit & Rogue, Magneto and even Prof X has kids running round with grandkids. Nature is fertile and Storm should be too.

Hey do you remember Keith Hamilton Cobb? Always thought he'd be good back in the day. I kinda had a love/hate feeling towards the character myself.
