​@@j_Snowit's the shell velocity. They're moving so fast the shells are through the target and out the other side before they detonate. You see the same thing with French and Italian BBs.

I've played a fair bit of ranked with the Bismarck and it's completely hit or miss. Sometimes the RNG works out for you and you manage to get close to the enemy, other times nothing works and you end up with a 30k game

Bismarck was my go-to for T8 ranked until I got my hands on a Massa B from the BF boxes. The hydro is a really nice saviour from sneaky torps that the Massa doesn't have and I found the guns were good enough

Great video! me personally i play the bismarck quite passive. i mostly hide behind cover until the enemy is in my secondary range, for me this has proven effectively in ranked and mostly in random, cause this is what the ship is good at and , just dont test ur luck from like 19-26 KM from ur target, that shell desperssion is gonna kill u. and ur more vurable to plunging fires at distant engagements, u may get citadeled.

For sure, even in Randoms it's still a great a great secondary gun build BB even with the powercreep, same for Tirpitz if you sail with a Division mate and don't really need hydro, the torps are a nice bonus then.

I find it really odd that one of the few BBs in history to actually score a hit with main guns on another BB can't seem to hit anything in this game.

Personally really like Baltimore in ranked. The bow lets you tank 15in AP and Balti is just generally good. Found myself living a lot longer than I should with how common Bismarck and Turpitz is

Not a fan of Ranked Battles in general. But the ability to run the many fine Tier VIII cruisers (Baltimore being one of them) without constantly being double-uptiered. . . It’s an opportunity.

Recently I've been playing the gneisenau of course cuz I'm trying to unlock the Bismarck but I've actually had some very good success with the Gneisenau as long as i don't expose my sides and very careful with shot placement she's been surprising me with her performance and ability to take a beating the added torps are amazing to take out reckless destroyers and cruisers but even to finish off a battleship if you are in a slug fest so I found even though the accuracy can be quite a pain if I get even one citadel the damage is amazing and in most cases I'm usually able to get at least one good or two good shell hits even though there's only six main guns

Is there any way to get rid of the visible main battery shell tracers in game to make them completely transparent/invisible like in the video here? I've used Mod Station and although there is a "remove shell tracer" option, they get rid of just the chemtrails but are still visible as white/orange star like lights. Is there a step I'm missing? Is there any file located within the game folder I can tinker with?

I wish you could have played my Bismarck/Brandenberg build in WoWsLegends. It gets 5 heals, secondary buffs, and during every heal the fire chance from *all* guns was +40%. It was fucking hilarious to bum rush the enemy team and set 15 fires

Most of us find the Bis to be frustrating and we sell it or just forget about it, until you see another uplifting "oh your wrong about it" video. We then think you know I'll either purchase it again or pull it out of retirement and try it again....nope same Bis! I'm starting to wonder how many of these guys are in World of Warships pockets!

Can you try Amagi and Alabama PQ? I use Alabama and its surprisingly good for everything, you can snipe, smash at midrange and push in and brawl when you have to. The good turning circle, the very good guns and incredible torp protection make it quite tanky. It just eats quite some HE Dmg. The citadel is really hard to hit too which makes it forgiving at mistakes unlike Massa or the the pen eating germans. If Carriers were in ranked this season , Alabama would probably be the best BB. Still i think she is really good because people gladly show broadside

Bruh alabama is massa clone in hull and guns are nc clones so its a useless waste of money only thing u get is the torp protection compared to nc. For premium american bb constellation is way better. And for ranked premium bbs that are good are constellation brandenburg kii massachusets and gascogne even with its 40 sec heal,speed,guns and secondaries

@@mertc8050Alabama is more tanky than the NC and smaller. The guns are much more consistent than Massachusetts too. It’s a strong ship overall and better than the NC.

I've found not taking IFHE causes more fires in sustained fights, and overall worth it more dmg. The secondaries without IFHE hit super structures anyway so do similar dmg I've noticed.

No one ever takes into account the fact that non IFHE bb’s are far more useful to the team. You personally many not get the damage/kills, but you greatly help your team by setting lots of fires and forcing your enemies to use up their DCP’s.

I got to rank 1 in a very strange BB build because I mis-clicked, IFHE, manual secondary hybrid survival build without adrenaline rush.

I am experimenting a bit with dropping Adrenaline Rush on some ships. I have noticed it is rare that i start to get low and remain low instead of just being focused down and sunk. So I am starting to doubt how beneficial the reload buff is in practice. An example from a build I did on Flandre. Flandre has only 3 heals, but that is somewhat mitigated because the ship hull has 75k HPs at T8. But instead of adrenaline rush, I can take Improved Repair Party Readiness (the new/reword skill at third raw). I also ditched manual secondaries and went with CR, Emergency Repair Expert and Fire prevention. In a sense, weird hybrid build between tankiness and a bit of secondaries (i get the secondary range skill). There is a new change for BBs I heard might come, standardized secondary ranges. If that increases the range of secondaries enough that they reach 11kms with the the skills/modules improvements, I think switching from AR to Long Range Battery Shells might be a real option for a lot of BBs. In ranked, you more often end up closer to enemy BBs and against them, the loss of Manual secondaries is not as big of a detriment.

Yes Bismarck is great in ranked but if u want to climb fast the T8 ladder i would prefere others ships. Cruiser Tallin, Destroyer Cossack T8. Sometimes i find it really hard to be top in battle with a BB, so u need much more time to reach silver. Same in silver T10 to reach gold.

It's weird, but I've always done very well in the Bis and enjoy playing her at T8. It's way better for me than Tirp (hydro?) or Mass. Though I'm an average player, my wins are 29% above and dmg 13k above server average (while Tirp and Gneis are only slightly above). I know she gets lots of complaints, but I like her. It's just T8 is rough to play now.

the problem with the German BBs is one game the player will camp in back and be useless because he's afraid of eating torps even with a good DD leading the way, the next game you get that guy that seen a PQ type player push hard and have a great game so they do the same thing without bothering to take into account they have no support from their team and they get ganged up on and killed real fast. like Jingles says, "not everyone is capable of thinking and breathing at the same time".

I found secondary damage to be dismal without IFHE. Armor escalation, I guess. Not as much an issue with Massachusetts, interestingly, even though the 5”/38s have less penetration. (Of course they do. Worst destroyer guns of WWII, everyone at WG knows that.)
