And that bison is a juveline whose horns are still very short and head is not that tough for perfect bashing. Besides, Bisons are weaker and slower during winters because of thick layer of snow and less food to eat. So, this juveline Bison here is more of a fighter for fighting two wolves more well adapted for walking in thick snow than bison.

Where was the rest of the Wolf Pack when that one Wolf was trying to take down that Bison, Wolves usually work together to kill their prey.?The Wolf might have sustained some serious injuries during that long struggle, to bad the filming did not include some later footage.
@boxolax4 жыл бұрын
There was only two. One backed off because it was scared. If the wolf hadnt killed it it would have died, its not gonna be able to hunt while recovering. But a bison that size is gonna feed 2 wolves long enough for it to recover. Its too cold for the meat to go bad so they can pick it to the bone.

wolves only sometimes work with a large pack. usually its 2 (a couple) then them plus cubs till the cubs are old enough and go on their own to find a mate. A big pack is formed sometimes when there is no small pray and the small packs form a truce and band together to hunt big prey

Viewers are interested more in the wolf and bison rather than the helicopter and people within.A bad presentation of a good scene because nature has been shown in an un-natural way.
@oldrabbit82905 жыл бұрын
The "natural" scene (ie without the cameraman) is already shown ealier in the same episode (ep.5 Winter). This is one of the end credit, the behind-the-lens kind of thing that is very common in BBC's documentary, where the film crew share what they experience and give more back story for the scene they film. Or, in this case, to pay homage for these two incredible animal.

Here is our 7 year old
@kolafoltin4 жыл бұрын
Saying that wolves have no benefits is very foolish. If wolves and other large predators were all killed off, the large prey would grow over populated and would destroy vegetation. That would cause herbivores, including large herbivores like bison, to die of starvation. Then all the smaller predators would also die of starvation and there would be nothing left. No carnivores, no herbivores and no vegetation.
@FlyboyUS4 жыл бұрын
