I've had a Little Green Clean Machine for 12 years and it still works really well. Things to note though...where the hose attaches to the machine you need to remove it and clean it out every 6 months to a year depending on use. The dirty water tank is not designed well to empty and the solution tank is hard to fill since it doesn't sit flat.
@nonelost1 Жыл бұрын
How do you detach the hose from the machine?
@orrad06 Жыл бұрын
Remove base and unscrew. The HydroRinse attachment also does the trick or I use a bowl of hot water.

I am on my second machine. The first one worked ok for a while. When you put it away for a while then go to use it a few months later we found it would no longer spray the cleaning fluid. So I bought another one. LO and behold same thing. Works great for a while but after storing it for a while only the suction works. It has to be the pump because the hose is clear from any obstructions.
@reneemelo93062 жыл бұрын
I have the Spin Wave floor cleaner and had the same problem. What I discovered is take the container off the machine and clear any residual liquid in the machine (pump without the bottle in place) then remove the bottle top and rinse it with clear water while pressing down the small plastic plunger, a plus sign looking piece (use the handle of a toothbrush or something similar.) This has worked for me so far. I don't know if this machine has a similar mechanism in the tank lid but it may since they are both Bissell. (I do like my Spin Wave).

Most hardware stores sell them or Amazon does also but they have different round brushes that attach to a drill!! So if you have really stubborn stains or you just want to get some deep cleaning done, spray your favorite cleaning solution on whatever you are working on and fire up the drill brush then use the little green clean machine and the results are amazing!!

We are on our second machine. The handle can leak - fix it with silicon in the joint. Also the pump vane can rust and fail. If the machine starts to smell put some disinfectant in a bowl of water and suck it up to flush the hose through.

I have the big brother to this, the one with the motorized brushes and I'm amazed at the stains it has cleaned up. Several year old grease and oil stains in a closet on light colored carpet. Completely gone, carpet looks like new.
@jonmike3164 жыл бұрын
Which one is it? Can you share the name?
@markusstrobl10674 жыл бұрын
@@jonmike316 Sure. It's a Bissell Spotbot Pet, model 33N8A. I actually don't mix the Bissell solution into the water tank. Instead I use a cleaner I think is right for the stain (like a pet cleanup spray for dog puke, and more of a degreaser for oil/grease) directly on the stain. I then use only hot water in the Bissell.

I looked at this category of cleaning machine and seriously considered buying one, but instead I bought a Milwaukee M18 cordless wet/dry shop vacuum. It develops very strong suction and an M18 battery pack can power the thing for a very long time. I keep spray bottles of my favorite carpet cleaner ready to go, and a pitcher with a cheap scrub brush in it. When a sudden mess appears, I hit it with the spray, vacuum the carpet dry, hit it with the spray a second time if need be, and finish by rinsing the carpet with just water from the pitcher and vacuuming the rinse water up. The carpet feels nearly dry when I'm done. Compared to the Bissell Little Green: (pro) can vacuum up and contain a much larger volume of water (2 gallon container; it can reasonably hold over a gallon); less chance of spilling liquid; cordless; can be used as a dry shop vacuum; (con) no integrated dispenser for cleaning solution, no included brush tool, more expensive. (The vacuum cost about $100 but the battery and charger were both separate. But I wanted to start a Milwaukee tool collection and I just bought another tool that can use that same battery pack.) The carpet cleaner I favor is a dilute solution of Quick-n-Brite. My main use case for this is my cats tossing their cookies (they have long fur and hairballs are a thing) and Quick-n-Brite not only works but is non-toxic. My cats can walk on cleaned carpet and then lick their paws and I don't have to worry. P.S. Kudos on an excellent channel; I like your videos.

I didn't think I'd be interested in this one when I saw it, but now I'm looking forward to seeing the upcoming comparisons. My suspicion is a lot of these are purchased by people with pets to deal with accidents. Since suction power is important in this scenario, I use a small shopvac, but it's still inconvenient to setup and clean afterward. And even though it's small, it's not that small. Bother aside, these spot cleaners can be a real boon when a pet gets sick. Details to be filled in by your imagination.

I asked Chris about this Vacuum and he informed me that where the air meets the water is not a solid seal, as the air, with dirt and stuff, bubbles out and is not a good solution for eliminating things going back into the air you breathe. Works well if you immediately vacuum up excess piss, then spritz with enzymatic cat urine cleaner, leave for 5 minutes, vacuum that up, then do the usual with the pet specific treatment solution, suck that up, followed by spritzing with fresh water and sucking that up. You're very thorough ! Lol.... I think to get rid of the UV stain... I think you need to find your own solution and mix... to get rid of that. I was going to say, before I have seen your video, I didn't rate these machines. But it seems that, you did it methodically, which is around 10 rounds. And then another 10 rounds, leading up to a good 5 minutes. I suppose, because it is a suction mechanism.. It has removed the previous dropped stain. I would love to know, how it works on OLD stains... Cos new stains, are fresh and the liquid can be sucked up by the machine. For old stains, does it mean only steam cleaners can revive them ?

@michaelgrier3 жыл бұрын
Hi, two questions. First, how would you compare with the Bissell 3624 Spot Clean Professional? Just the cheaper sibling, more likely to break sooner but lighter and more approachable? Second, why don't people consider just getting the Vacmaster Professional and a spray bottle with hot water solution? I'm not sure this is the right pivot to take at all (the all-in-one spot cleaner). At least with traditional rug cleaners you might be able to say that the agitators/brushes have some unique value but it seems like there's not much more here than a built in sprayer and a wet/dry vac. (This isn't my unique observation, I read an article in Consumer Reports years ago that recommended this approach over any of the carpet cleaners on the market on the time. We just had our carpets cleaned with hot water extraction which really was just this in any case. At least the units that claim to heat the cleaning solution have some unique value but most people say that feature is a bust.) I was slightly surprised you didn't address this approach at all in the wet/dry vac reviews or in the car detailing vac reviews either. We have only the upstairs carpeted and 90% of our problems are dog related so really addressing spots really really well is what I want to be able to do with something I can keep on hand in very little footprint.
