Thank you for taking your time to review the products but most importantly showing the cleaning capabilities of each cleaning machine. Awesome review! Keep up the good work!

You do the best comparison reviews of all the carpet cleaners and spot cleaners. Thanks for comparing it to all the existing models

Thank you for all your info!! I have the Bissell Pet Stain Eraser Cordless. But it quit working. It’s probably just the battery but I felt the dirty tank was way too small. My small dog has always had upset stomach issues so I want something for quick clean ups. Based on this video I’m leaning towards the classic green machine. For my needs, I’m fine using a corded machine. I’m wanting a bigger tank than the one I have. Also perfect timing for the Black Friday sales!!

Which do you prefer between Max Pet and Pro Heat?

The major problem with ALL type Bissell "steam" cleaners is the fact that none of them produce actual steam, as none of their cleaners have heating elements in them. The water they spray is only as hot as the hot water you put in them from your sink. They're basically just vacuums that vacuum up the water that the unit is spraying on the carpet. Theoretically, you can perform this same process with a basic relatively inexpensive Wet & Dry shop vacuum. And chances are the Wet & Dry vacuum has a much stronger motor, which produces a much stronger suction process than that of the Bissell cleaners.

This complaint makes no sense. The Little Green and similar products aren't steam cleaners nor do they claim to be. They're explicitly labeled as just carpet cleaners, same as their larger products. You also wouldn't want to use a steam cleaner as it wouldn't do you any good on carpets. The only carpet cleaners they have that advertise steam functionality DO have heating elements and the steam is purely for sticky/hardened messes, not for your regular carpet cleaning. The ACTUAL steam cleaners are the things like the mops, spray cleaner, etc. These products are also all meant to be used on hard surfaces such as hardwood, laminate, porceline, etc. Steam is for sanitation and breaking up grime to be wiped away. Carpet cleaners use warm water and soap to break up the dirt's bond to the carpet fibers to be sucked up with the water. Two completely different types of products for two completely different types of surfaces.

@Jeldin486 All van or truck mounted "steam cleaning" services do in fact produce "steam," which is sprayed onto the carpet before it's subsequently sucked up by the vacuum. So yes, you would use steam on carpets, and yes, that is what the majority of us want in these small hand-held units or upright units.

@@gregsewell0 I never said you can't or shouldn't use steam on carpets. In fact I said the exact opposite. However, a normal person has no need for constant steaming on their carpets. The companies you're talking about use steam for the exact reasons I already specified-- difficult stains and sticky/hardened substances. That said, a lot of those companies DON'T use steam (or at least not by default) and simply are using industrial equipment for normal carpet cleaning. You'd need to specifically hire ones that state they use steam. That said, I think you've missed the point of my comment. The point is that your complaint is that they said they're calling them "steam cleaners" but don't actually produce steam. This isn't the case and they don't claim anywhere that they're steam cleaners. It's like complaining that Swiffer Powermop doesn't steam when it doesn't advertise that it does. You're attributing a function to a device that has never at any point claimed to have that function. Bissel DOES have carpet cleaners with steam functions and they're specifically advertised as such. Also, to be clear, my initial comment wasn't an attack, but a clarification what was an obvious misunderstanding. Sorry if it came off that way 👍

@@Jeldin486 I didn't miss your initial point. And yes, you are correct, this particular unit does not indicate it produces steam. However, most handheld units want you to believe they produce steam and reference them as, portable "steam cleaners.' I'm not looking to fight either. Happy Thanksgiving! ✌🏻

What about mattresses. Can one use these?
@darn612926 күн бұрын
I'd look into videos about that if youre doing the entire mattress. I think if you pretreat and spot clean a stain on a mattress thatd be okay but again ive never done that. I saw a video once where they removed all the sheets and the mattress protector and they sprinkled baking powder evenly and then used a handheld vacuum to vacuum the bed.
