It lives again but the base is slightly warped so it drives a little funny.

Great job on restoring the vacuum. The seating stone really polished the commutator and made a huge difference to the wind down. It definitely needs a new belt because I can tell because of the sound.

I had a Helix Turbo and I have to say it was a tough thing. I put it through hell and it still worked. Got rid of it when I got my Kirby.

Excellent refurb as usual. My 1701 helix has a warped and bent baseplate and it affects performance and is very very difficult to push. But baseplate for the helix’s are SO CHEAP. A brand new one direct from bissell is $5.49. It is in the standard blue however but I’m sure you could find the purple one is you really wanted purple. I just wanted to let you know about that just in case you wanted to spend $6 on a part.

Very well done. Been wondering for over two years now, Where do you get your music from that you use in these videos?

Did you check and see if the stretchy hose you got would fit on this model? This is essentially the bagless version of the bagged version powerforce that you have that I gave you.
@VacLab3 жыл бұрын
I'm using yours in another Bissell. But I still have another Bissell stretchy hose from a scrapped machine.
@TRec37913 жыл бұрын
@@VacLab that's what i meant used the scrapped hose from the junked Bissell and use it on this one.

The bissell lives another day the motor actually sounds really healthy which I’m surprised by how dirty it was

Where's the foam circle with a circle in the middle? Where does that go?
@VacLab Жыл бұрын
In the opening on the left side of the motor. Look for the round red circle.

Check the switch. Other than that, there's no way I'd have enough info to diagnose your issue.

You found that on the curb of a street?You’re supposed to take old vacuums to a recycling center.
@VacLab2 жыл бұрын
Not here. We don't have recycling centers for such things. 🤣
@One-129372 жыл бұрын
@@VacLab I’m sure you already know this since you have a KZbin channel dedicated to vacuums but most vacuums have toxic chemicals so you have to take them to a recycling center. Just like phone, laptop batteries. In some states you can get fined for throwing vacuums in the trash
@VacLab2 жыл бұрын
@@One-12937 the only item that is normally considered toxic would be lithium batteries. The remainder is not considered toxic. And if you do a little research you'll find out many recycling centers in the US still bury their waste in a landfill because there's nowhere else to put it. Some even dump their waste in the ocean.

hello, I have completely torn apart my vacuum just as you have in the video bc mines wasnt turning on at all after i used it to vacuum one morning. i do not see any damage to the wires at all and the motor doesn't look burnt or have a burnt smell. Do you have any idea what it could be?
@VacLab2 жыл бұрын
Check the cord, switch and motor with an ohm meter for connectivity.
@cumpaselawrenceiii1892 жыл бұрын
@@VacLab I think I found the problem. I will take a pic of it and upload it once I get off work in the morning. I’m hoping it can be soldered or I can add a piece of wire to make it work. I’ll include detailed images. Thanks again.
