More proof that cheap Bissells are tough machines even though the performance may be mediocre. Formalized testing will come at some point.

This vac was manufactured on the 199th day of 2008, according to the serial number. So it was made July 18, 2008

Yes you are absolutely right. Those Bissells are indestructible, they may not clean the best or filter the best but they're like little tanks. Just keep going and going and going.

Thank you! I got this vacuum from the garage and it was completely filthy and I had no Idea how to clean it so I could use it properly. This video really saved me and the vacuum.

I just curb-crawled a helix, tore it down, and decided that since it was free and I have a very good dishwasher, I'd try a little experiment. I didn't put the the turbohead, handle, hoses, filters, cord or motor in, but everything else came through sparkling, with no damage on a hot water cycle with regular detergent and no heat-dry. Saved a ton of time on the fiddly cleaning.

At this rate, you're bound to move up the ranks by finding a Samsung-made Cleanview in the garbage next 😂 Also, it looks like the little blue Bosch is becoming your new primary canister...

1:37 that hose is like the hose that I bought for my bissell powergroom bagless
@thegamingninja7419 Жыл бұрын
And the difference between both hoses is that mine is not that long and it has a piece that’s clear in the spot where it enters the bin and while I am vacuuming I am able to see the dirt from the clear thing that it has and yours does not have that and it’s a little bit longer than mine

WAIT WHAT. You put the cord and switch in the BATHTUB!!!???
@Sofia-ib8vv4 жыл бұрын
I hope he didn't damage it, because personally I would've just taken a disinfectant wipe to the cord.....that water can get inside the copper wiring and contacts and corrode and rust them making the vacuum unusable until he replaces the cord and switch
@VacLab4 жыл бұрын
Yup! Periodically I get this response and immersing electrical items in water is completely safe, always has been. The trick is the quick drying process. Mild heat with airflow and everything dries with zero issues. Been doing it for years and you can see me bathe many electrical items in other videos.
@Sofia-ib8vv4 жыл бұрын
@@VacLab Oh okay. This was just the first time I saw you put the cord in, that's why I said that but thanks for the info!

This is what happens when someone who is used to only bagged vacuums buys a bagless and expects the same level of maintenance and/or does not read the manual.

I empty the filter on the vacuum I have for hard wood floor sadly it broke all the way to where it won’t run so I got a brand new one coming but anyway cleaning the filters in the vacuum needs to be done even though it’s nasty to do people can’t keep vacuuming without cleansing the filters it loses suction when the filters are dirty vacuum cleaners are like cars

Gross! Most of the cheaper bagless machines (mostly Bissells) that I get are about this dirty. Most smell like cat pee and cigarette smoke too. I do give EUP a lot of credit. Their models that they manufacture for Bissell hold up absurdly well for what their owners do to them. I have seen some that really should not run turn out to be completely fine after I restore them. The Samsung-manufactured Bissells are interesting as well. The EUP models have better motors to service, though. That's helpful because if they do not have dirt caked in the fan, they usually smell awful in every crack and crevice. The Samsung motors tend to be more finicky. I would pass on them, but I have found that people really like seeing these Bissells. Unlike Sharks, Dirt Devils, those Eureka Optima and Airspeed things, and more, I at least grab a Bissell if I see one.
