Ben, Excellent video. Same Model Bissel Pro Heat here. No forward Spray front bottom sprayer. Only the hand held hose unit sprayed. First the red small spray nozzles on front of unit were plugged. Blew air through them white deposits cleared. Hand attachment spraying. Front nozzles still not spraying. Second step after troubleshooting the on/off switch and the heater area. The Heater unit plugged it was opened and was plugged with white debris, cleaned heater unit and re-assembled. Now spraying like new. Sone items which you discussed. You need a 6 inch plus small head Phillips screw driver for the bottom two screws by the wheels. You have to lift the unit up some to get the case to click in and screw down by the wheels. Don't forget the little Red washers on the heating unit screws if they should come off during re- assembly. Great Video! Thanks..

After checking the other possibilities I really felt the sprayers were clogged on my machine. Your video showed me how to check it and fix it! Can't thank you enough for a clear video on how to fix the problem!

Nothing about this video was a waste of time. Great video. Going to clean mine out right now. I am probably going to run vinegar and water through it.

I am so happy that i came across this video. I borrowed the exact model from a family member to shampoo my carpet. It worked for about 45 minutes and after it ceased to suction and spray. This shampooer has been kicking my butt and wrecking my nerves every other day for literally a month and a half now. It was operable when i borrowed it and there is no way that i will return it, BROKEN..I am DEFINITELY about to try these methods right NOW... THAAAAANK YOUUUU...

This helped me greatly! I hadn't used my shampooer in a while and while the handheld sprayer worked, water wouldn't come out of the bottom. I figured it just got clogged in the body, but didn't know where to start to take this thing apart to check out the hoses. Being able to see someone else take it apart, and see where all the screws are, saved a lot of trial and error. (My issue, like I suspected, ended up being clogged hoses and nozzles. Cleaned them out and it's good as new!)

Hey Red Barn, My Bissell HeatPro 25A3 (C for Canada I think) has nearly the exact problem your's did. Thanks for your video. You spared me having to pull the upper body and handle apart. I managed to get the lower body off with just those 6 screws. The white stuff is plugging the nozzles. I'll dig em out and blow em out. I will run a few tanks of water through the feeder hoses. Did you ever figure out if the white stuff was coming from the trigger switch? Mine doesn't have that filter under the tank but it didn't seem to be doing a decent job with that white stuff. I thought about running an inline filter to the outside where I could change it easily? I would put it upstream from all the trouble components. To me the white stuff seems soft enough to crush with my fingers; it seems like a soap build up. What have you decided? Thanks again!

I think the filter is a great idea. No matter what we did, it got to the point of having to clean the nozzles every time we wanted to use it, which is about once a month. Then a few months ago I cleaned them and it still didn’t spray correctly, something else was wrong again…so we purchased a Hoover Carpet Cleaner. It premixes and such, still in the honeymoon phase but so far so good. Key is it runs when I need it to.

@@RedBarnHomestead Good info. I realize you have a Hoover now but I will include some of my results for other followers or if somewhere down the line you decide to resurrect the Bissell. My unit wound up being plugged in the heater itself. I took the heater cover off (7 screws). I think that is where the corrosion was originating from. After scraping and brushing the cover I discovered that under the corrosion were more than half a dozen good sized holes! The ribs were corroding too. It was plugged, with the same kind of material I flushed from the system. That is an engeneering flaw with these units. The cover at least should have been stainless steel not aluminum. There was a protective coating in there but it is not durable enough. I sealed the cover holes inside and out with plenty of JBWeld high heat epoxy putty stick (had on hand; don't think it needs to be high heat) . There isn't much clearance between the inside of the cover and the tops of the ribs, so keep it thin or you will glue the cover on making it hard to clean out next time. I brushed the ribs out with a small wire brush. I didn't put any corrosion inhibitor on the ribs incase it starts to come off and plug things too (maybe should have applied some). A filter downstream from the heater would prevent the nozzles clogging but the heater will continue to corrode and clog. Maybe next time I will indeed put some paint or something on those ribs and add that filter. After each use I clean out the tank and the removable plastic vacuum part from the front. I run a tank of clean water through all three nozzles. Maybe the heater won't corrode so much if the cleaner is not sitting in it. Your video helped me alot. I say thank you again! The Proheat is once again charging onward.

Same issue but also the plastic suction at the bottom came apart I don't think it's supposed to... I'm referring to the front clear plastic piece that says Bissell 6 cleaning rows dirtlifter power brush has separated from the clear piece it appears it should snap into or was glued into....? Should it snap back in or is this actually cracked off?

We’re trying to work on a very similar model. We’re stuck trying to get the top cover back on. Can’t get it seated correctly at the back where the red and grey foot ‘switches’ are. Any hints? Can’t see what’s stopping it!

The wheels get in the way. Sometimes you have to support it from the bottom so the wheels are down.

Its likely the jets in that lower head...they are white, the corrosion is white and it looks like its clear when it isn't.
