I have some first impressions.... 1. If you are considering this Walmart has the best pricing. I ordered yesterday and received it this morning. 2. I am coming from a Hoover Power Scrub Elite. 3. First impressions - I like how much water and solution this puts into the rug but on the flip side you have to refill often. Keep a gallon of solution because you will go through it quickly. Very strong suction. Very easy to clean after complete. I have dogs and there is alot of hair in my carpet and I was able to clean it out quickly and easily . Long cord so I don't have to keep unplugging and switching outlets. It is heavier then my previous unit so lugging it to the second floor is a chore. I've already done 2 rooms and I am very happy with what I am seeing so far.

Happy to hear! I did find you did not need as much solution as other carpet cleaners because the steam does loosen some stains on its on. But for stubborn stains, I completely agree with you. You want to have the solution nearby

There's plenty of places you can buy that carpet cleaner inexpensively without having to go to Walmart. I do not understand why so many people plug for Walmart. The people they employ can't afford to live. I recall a couple of Christmases ago they were asking people to go and don't I recall a couple of Christmases ago they were asking people to donate groceries for their employees "so they could enjoy their Thanksgiving too" because they were too cheap to pay them what they need to enjoy such basic things! Anyone who shops at Walmart has no conscience whatsoever.

I’ve had this vacuum for a few years now and it’s still going strong. kzbin.infoUgkx8ISPQRRAfpAaX4msGjyodObTBnlj4T5g I was cleaning it today and thinking about how much I love no bags to buy and that it comes apart for easy clean up. When I first purchased it we had two dogs and a cat and it kept up well. The suction was great then and still is now. I’m always amazed at the amount of hair it picks up, it works better than any other vacuum I’ve had for pet hair. The attachments are handy and work well. It’s easy to use with arthritic hands. I just had to come write a review because I’m still so pleased with this purchase.

I wish they would focus on improving the suction for water extraction. Leaves carpets too wet when using the deep clean modes and even after making multiple slow passes it never gets enough water out and I know that can’t be good for your carpet. Forced to use carpet fans just to speed up the drying process…

I used to have an older let revolution like 10 years ago and I didn't like it at all. It just wasn't a good machine for me. So I replaced it with a Rug Doctor. I don't remember what the model is but about 5 years ago it was the highest model without going commercial. It cleans great but it's bulky, loud, heavy and there's no way to clean out the brush cover and some of the internals without completely taking it apart. With 2 pets my vacuum doesn't ever get all the hair, even though it's a very highly rated one. Some of it just gets trapped down in. The hair and fuzz and stuff ends up clogging the scrubber. Such a pain. I was looking into a steam cleaner to keep up with my kids and pets messes and found this one and so far everyone has nothing but praise for it. Seems like it covers all my issues with the Rug doctor and seems to clean just as well while adding the steam function I was looking for. I think I'll be buying a new scrubber here soon. Thanks for the video.

Hi. The brushroll on the revolution are connected on both sides via belts. I just pop the cover off and clean it with a old toothbrush then use a paper towel to remove any hair or debris that is caught where the steam jets are. I've used mine extensively and it's been easy to keep clean.

Thank for review. What about accessories: does they work with steam? Hose just spray solution as before or can do steam as well ? How is suction power - is lower/higher or same as proheat model ?
@TheFrenchGlow
@TheFrenchGlow Жыл бұрын
Hi! Thanks for the question. The accessories work exactly like on the 2x proheat revolution. The liquid connection and suction ports are the same on both units except the revolution hydrosteam now comes with an updated cover that's easier to open. Whatever the temp of the water was that you added will be the temp of water. You have to trigger the steam on the handle when on floor cleaning mode and that is not available in hose/hand tool mode. Regarding suction power on the hand tools (2 in 1 or 3",6") I did not notice any difference with the proheat except I think the revolution hydrosteam has the same suction power as the "turbocharged" motor in the 2023 2x proheat.

Does the revolution hydrosteam go through a lot more solution and water than the bissell pet pro? Or similar? The main downside I see with the hydrosteam is that there isn’t a middle range setting for the amount of solution being used (just max clean or quick clean) unlike bissell pet pro that has a moderate option as well as deep clean and express options.

Hi I compared other wet dry vacs to the hydro steam after the fact and having used it repeatedly on my carpeted floors. Having less extraction could be due to the type of carpet and if the subflooring/carpet padding is old or squishy. If you saturate the carpet too much to the point of saturating the material underneath, I like to take a dry towel, place it on top and step down repeatedly.

Hi! The heat wave is actually the heat from the motor blowing up into the clean water tank. You have to use hot water when you fill the tank and the heat wave keeps it hot. If you use cold water, you would have to leave the motor on for a long time to get it warmer. The hydrosteam heats the water up on its own (think a electric tea kettle) to produce the steam.

Yes (I have a cat) but your main limitation for odor and cat urea (more concentrated than urine) will be refilling/empty the tanks. Go slow, don't be cheap with the cleaning solution and if any deep stains in high pile carpets, you can always scrub the area using a brush yourself once the steam breaks up the stain.

While Hydrosteam looks to be an excellent carpet cleaner - more than a shampooer - your testing is flawed is so many ways, that there was only one real situation you cleaned the carpet; a wet stain spread around a bit. It was never demonstrated on a stain that had been set by time or temperature. Any carpet shampooer can clean a wet stain out of a carpet if you have enough chemical to soak it with. When the Proheat 2X was demonstrated I assume the staining materials were applied to the carpet that had already been cleaned and left damp from the Hydrosteam. It would be great to see a follow up where you apply the same stain and leave it in the sun for about a week and then try and clean it.

Do you recommend this for couch cleaning as well over portable ones? Was looking at little green pet pro
@TheFrenchGlow
@TheFrenchGlow Жыл бұрын
Hi! A little green pet pro will be better at extracting than the revolution will. If you have a heavy stain on sofa cushions, any revolution model would require more passes/more effort with the little green pet pro and longer dying times. My personal favorite is the bissell hydrosteam spot cleaner. Bissell upgraded most of the things on little green and added steam with improved suction. It's about $20 more than the little green pet pro on sale and worth it. I have a comparison video explaining all the spot cleaners that helps explain the differences between models. kzbin.info/www/bejne/ip64amt7q9SCZs0

@@TheFrenchGlow thanks! It wouldn’t necessarily be as much for heavy stains as general cleaning. We have a white couch and 5 pets + baby. House is full of carpet. Not sure if I should just invest in the revolution and have to take more passes on the couch or if a good vacuum + spot cleaner is enough to do the trick more regularly

After the handle is locked in its hard to remove the handle. I had remove the clean water tank, remove the 4 screws and then push in the black lever. I accidentally put the handle on before putting on the frame for the clean water tank and once you do that the handle can't go on with the frame for the clean water tank. At least mine was not going on

Would this damage loop pile carpet? Would it be better to use a crosswave with hydro steam for loop pile carpet?
@TheFrenchGlow
@TheFrenchGlow Жыл бұрын
I have a loop 9 x 12 rug and it does not damage or pull out the fibers but check the material (nylon and polyester more suspestable to damage from high heat) and test it as the steam is much hotter than proheat. I would not recommend the crosswave hydrosteam for any type of carpet. It's really only for hard floors.

How do you disassemble it!! The my hadle clicked before the top canister
@TheFrenchGlow
@TheFrenchGlow 11 ай бұрын
Hi! Use a small thin stick on the bottom of the handle. There should be a small hole where you can press the lock button to release the handle. You do not need to press hard but it does require some force. Don't try to force the wand out and just shimmy it up and out.

Do you know if I can put on the bissell bare floor tool on this vacuum so I can use it on my tile?
@TheFrenchGlow
@TheFrenchGlow Жыл бұрын
Hi! For the revolution hydrosteam, it is strictly for carpet but there is a bissell crosswave revolution for tiles and hardwood. You can also consider the Tineco s5 steam as well. The main issue is carpet cleaners come with aggressive brushes that might damage hard floors if it's used too much.

Hi! That’s my wood floor so I would never risk damaging them for a carpet test. But if you hold the trigger too long, any carpet will get over saturated very quickly

@TheFrenchGlow
@TheFrenchGlow Жыл бұрын
hi! The revolution Hydrosteam is only for carpets so if you are mostly tile, you will want a wet dry mop (corded or cordless) like a Bissell Crosswave or a Tineco S5 St5eam. You could possibly use the Tineco S5 Steam for the dual floors but wet dry mops are really for hard floors and only a few are usuable (not great) for rugs or carpets.

Hi! It depends on your home. If you don't have a lot of space, want lighter device with better suction, the shark. But if you want to shampoo a really dirty carpet or rug, the hydrosteam will clean it better and remove odors.
