When you clean a stain, especially pet stains,(or any liquid stain which has soaked into the carpet) yet it reappears as the carpet is drying that is because you pulled up the cause of the stain from the padding up. The drying carpet is wicking the deep seated stain to the surface. Concentrate just on that stain and keep going over it until the deep root of the stain is removed. Might have to clean & let dry several times. DO NOT ADD MORE CLEANER. That won't help. That will just create a build up of cleaner. Just use hot water. Not boiling hot but good and hot. You can put a fan directed on the stain to speed drying. NOT A HEATER. A heater will bake the stain in. Just good hot water and a plain fan. A cleaning solution is only part of the solution to a pet or soaked in liquid stain. The most important part is pulling the soaked in stain out from the padding. I bought the Bissel carpet cleaner with the steam. Not impressed because the suction to pull out the water out isn't great. In fact, it's terrible. I just bought this Shark and am much more impressed and pleased with this Shark carpet cleaner. I like the bristles much better and it pulls the water out much much better.

Just an FYI - the Oxy Multiplier tank is only used when using the handheld attachment and solution is sprayed. So it's good to use the handheld tool on tougher stains, as the sprayer on it uses the Oxy Multiplier solution.

Thank you so much for that info. The video above did not go into detail about this tool, and Shark no longer sends a manual or Quick Start Guide, so it is very frustrating. One needs to come to youtube, to learn about the machine. Thank you for unconfusing me. $300 and no manual from Shark. Not acceptable. purchased the EX201.

Pretty good video thank you.... I just bought one from Walmart came yesterday...put it together, yep the wand is a pain to get in the holder the hose has to be just right to get it in there. The Hoover I bought was junk I took it back the 1st time I used it. Anyway I'm going to try the shark hopefully it lasts at least a year....

Thank you for this review, i was looking for someone to tackle old stains like you had. My only question I have is, about the capacity and cleaning solution usage. I too have wall to wall carpets and want to do a deep clean for all of it. How is the cleaners water usage efficiency? How many bottles do you go through, and does the dirty water tank fill up fast, causing you to repeatedly make alot trips to clean it out?

Interesting that I'm the UK we would refer to them as instructions rather than directions usually.

@@RoseHastie instructions were probably a better word to use haha. I guess they can be considered both.

That could be a regional thing. I don't know, I've heard it both ways also instruction book or instruction manual or owner's manual just plain manual even the user's guide. There's no right or wrong. No one's going to look at you crazy if you use any of these terms. However, ordering a Coke in the South is a whole different story.

Here in the United States directions or instructions mean the same thing when doing something like this .😊

Costco sells these now! It has the manual but I prefer to watch videos like yours. I saw another video where if you remove the cleaning solution bucket the machine will just suck up more water not put any down. My carpet was a mess from a Labrador and it really did an amazing job. I also have a newer shark vac I love.

Thank You for this video. I just got mine & put it together this morning. I just need to figure out how to use sister's Rainbow vac before trying it out. I'm very hopeful about a week old pet stain. (Puppy got sick the day after ordering this one. When I Googled the cleaners it showed I could get from Home Depot & a couple other places.) Thanks again!

Hello Ashley, great video! I was wondering how the Shark compares to your old Hoover. You did say the Hoover was getting old and losing its effectiveness but how would the Shark compare with the Hoover Smartwash when it was brand new? I’m stuck deciding between the two. Thanks!
@theveldmanway8 ай бұрын
I really like the Shark. Even though it is brand new, it is definitely easier to maneuver than the Hoover and empty the dirty water. I am going to try to do a better job cleaning the machine after every use in hopes to keep it running like new. I had issues with my Hoover leaking both dirty water and cleaning solution. We will see how the shark works with that long term.

What I noticed is for the amount of water at dumps out in the carpet. It picks up very little. It does pick up a lot of my cat hair, even though I vacuumed before I noticed you didn’t have much water after you did your stairs you mentioned that it didn’t pick up it has good suction, but I don’t know it just doesn’t pick up the water, what do you think?
@theveldmanway8 ай бұрын
I agree with you on that. It does put down a lot more water than it picks up. That’s my only issue with this vacuum, but it still cleans my carpets better than the old bissel I had. I go over it many times with quick try to try to suck up as much water as I can.

To fucking expensive especially when the non oxy one is 84 bucks at Walmart i dont understand the pricing here why is it over 100 dollars more for basically the same thing with a small added feature when its more or less the same friggin product makes no sense and they should be ashamed to make the price that much
